Good afternoon,
I am sorry, but I don't understand how you can come to this conclusion on the back of the new image. This is one of the more outlandish theories I have read, and I would be very, very suprised if it is right.
I also don't understand why we think the big blue guy is not the SJ.He is operating SJ technology in the trailer, he is the correct size and ticks the boxes from what we know. For me the engineers (gods) and SJ are one and the same, although I do think we will see different characteristics in the different SJ (IE some good, some evil).

JeffomorphJanuary 15, 2012
It's certainly possible that the big blue guy wears the SJ suit as an encounter suit or as a way of directly integrating into the ship. It's not called speculation for nothing.
It's just a hunch. The suits in the new image look a little small for our big blue friend, but obviously the scale is a little hard to judge without Noomi standing next to them. I'm assuming the suit is more than a thin layer of skin. Mr Big Blue is pretty good sized, so those suits would almost need to be hollow for him to fit inside.
I also don't see a reason why Mr. Big Blue would need to wear a suit. He is already biomechanical. Why not build the ship so it integrate directly with him. Seems a bit inefficient to build a ship that required the pilot to wear a suit to fly the thing. It's not like it's an open cockpit.
The SJ's from the photo could just be statues as well, but that seems a little too self promoting and humanlike.

genjitsu17January 15, 2012
From what was stated in another post, the cockpit is open. The vaginal doors never close.
I may work for the company, but im really an OK guy.

as big as the blue guy is, he is still too small to fit in the suit/seat a la Alien.
And jeffo I think this new image might actually reverse the logic, that the blue guy is the servant and the SL's are the gods

What do you base this statement on?I've already posted a size comparison and he fits the bill. Also, you have already posted that we will only see SJ's, two of them infact.

In order for the SJ to perform task it must have some level of intelligence. I'm not sure if it's as simple as the Engineer being able to program them, or the embryo/suit combination developing intelligence. It's possible the proto hugger/burster are sentient beings.
@Jeff: That is a wild idea, but I like it a lot!

Yeah I've seen that too.
And here's one of the quotes about it:
You did not factor in where the objects are in relation to the camera. The Jockey chair is closer to the camera than the alleged Engineer--of course it's going to look bigger than him.
Which is right imho.
However, also courtesy of AvP Galaxy is a much closer comparison

1. That nostromo figure is further away, perspective wise than the blue man.
2. The blue man needs to be raised, because his knees are level with the platform.
3. The blue mans build and posture do not match the suit (compare against new picture) - shoulders, neck, length of arms.
4. Blue guys eyes dont match eyeholes in SJ mask, and then theres mouth shown in the mask.
5. Most important this one. We dont see the blue guy sit in the chair and put the suit on, nowhere. This guy could be anything and there could be many reasons why this guy is in the room.

stopped reading when it got to the "proto chest burster"
seriously, do you use your brain at all. why would such a small creature require such a large humanoid suit?
come on...please.

Jeffomorph - I've got to be honest, I am really not digging on your theories. In fact I find them a real turn off and hope prometheus has no elements of what you are saying...sorry.

lol.. No problem at all man.
With the serious amount of whining people are doing about the SJ... I fully expect half the people who see this movie to go home and commit harakiri in a fit of rage. ok slight exageration, but you get what I'm saying.

GavinJanuary 15, 2012
@ jeffomorph...
if prometheus does not have big yellow slugs flying 3 wheeled cars on a planet made of waffles, which i can 1000% prove its does then I will blow up jupiter with a whoopee cushion.

Here is what the complainers really want..
26-30 foot tall jockey.. But no CGI.. Needs to be run smoothly by a group of 50 pupeteers.
Jockey captures crew of Prometheus and exposes half to face huggers. Face huggers become chest bursters, and grow into full grown Xenos.
Xenos chase the other half the crew around until end of movie when everyone dies.
The End..
=D

Does it appear to anyone else that this thing next to the chair has only 4 fingers? Not that the number of fingers it has really matters... it's just something I noticed this evening when viewing the trailer in 1080 p. (I apologize if this was mentioned before)

I have 4 fingers......... and 1 thumb. :) Just kiddn ya. I cant really tell. All the close ups I see are too blurry for me to tell if it has just 4 digits or not.

"Why would such a small creature require such a large humanoid suit?"
Don't you think you just answered your own question Einstein?
Let me help you... It's because it's such a small creature and is therefor physically limited...
In any event it's just wild speculation for fun. I've looked through your post and all you can come up with is to call people idiots. Obviously your a titan of intellect, so why don't you go to IMBd where your mensa skills will be appreciated.
Thanks and goodbye..

"The Giant Blue humanoid is not the SJ and does not wear the SJ suit. He is the GOD/creator being. The Space Jockey's are his servants and/or slaves".
Anyone read Childhoods End by Arthur C Clarke? I see some parallels with this idea that I was thinking about over the weekend i.e. the jockeys are servants of some higher power.

1)Not by much at all and the position is almost correct.(look at the chair)
2)Exactly, that makes him bigger in comparison to the human.
3)Yeah it does??
4)You haven't seen a front profile of the blue guy yet.(?)
5)Don't see how that is relevant, we do see him operating the chair.
We are never going to agree, but hey, that's what forums are for ehh?
Guess we will have to wait and see in June.

@Jeffomorph
I'm not complaining or whining about the Jockey, I have my opinion and you have yours and Snorkle has his.I won't be upset if that big blue guy turns out to be the Jockey and I won't be upset if it turns out to be something ele either.

JeffomorphJanuary 16, 2012
That wasn't aimed at you Theusprom. I was just generalizing after reading all the complaints on about five different forums. Complaints about a movie nobody has seen. It sounds like a broken record.
-No Xenos, huggers, or chest burster! Arrrrrgh!
-Space jockey is can't be a suite! RS is stealing my childhood dreams
-This has to be LV-426
-This has to be the derelict from the first movie
-Mutation sucks
-Movie will blow if it's PG-13
-Cameron sucks-Queen sucks
Blah blah..
A lot of people like their movies just like their food.. Bland and predictable :)

l`m new to the post , and like most others ,,,,,Can`t wait
what do you guys think about the idea that the eggs in the opening below the SJ ship , each egg were put in a enclosed capsule to transport out of there area of space , but something happen when they landed ??? .
i keep looking at the trailer were the earth crew are walking around the eggs , but the shape of the eggs are not right..
