1) The original Space Jockey is a separate species, not an engineer in a suite. The original SJ's created the Engineers as a slave race and host. 2) Black goo is the basis for SJ technology. All their tech is Biomechanical in nature. Black goo is harvested from a species which requires a host (engineers). The black goo is used to build everything from ships to structures. Three different kinds of black goo which was stored in three different sized urns seen in Prometheus. 3) Engineers revolted against SJ creators and are at war. SJ's created the Xeno's to use against Engineers. Original SJ with derelict full of eggs was meant for Engineer homeworld. 4) Engineers stole/use SJ tech. Engineers use SJ suit in order to interface with SJ tech more efficiently. The suits trick the tech into thinking it's being used by SJ's. SJ's created the suits to allow Enginner slaves to perform task. Engineers have no tech of their own. 5) Engineers created humans as a weapon/slaves for use against the SJ's (following in their parents footsteps). Humans are an intermediate step towards a finished product. Engineers were suppose to come back two thousand years ago with enough black goo to finish the project. Our final version would have looked like the creature in the ceiling mural of the ampule room. 6) David wakes Shaw after five years of travel in the juggernaut. He's been studying Engineer records/history and has discovered the details of the Engineer/SJ war as well as the location of the SJ homeworld. Wants to know if Shaw wants to go to SJ or Engineer homeworld. Shaw picks SJ homeworld (creator of the creator). David expresses disappointment of the Engineers because they have nothing of their own. Humans are more impressive from what we've achieved so quickly. 7) Follow-up Earth mission to LV223. All five domes explored, and they find ancient humans in stasis. This base was used to develop/perfect the human weapon for use against the SJ. Find "finished" product in stasis which resembles creature in urn room ceiling mural with Engineer standing over. Human weapon is accidentally released and disappears. Deacon attacks party, but human appears and kills the Deacon. 8) The creature is intelligent and able to communicate telepathically. Gives LV223 party much of the information David has already discovered on the Juggernaut. Infection on the base that wiped out Engineers 2000 years before was caused by an escaped creature that was trying to stop Engineers from wiping out humans. I'm still working out the rest :) Good, Bad, indifferent ?

Thats actually incorrect he is the SJ sorry to disappoint because now it sounds like an excuse for an unliked concept. Ridley states these are the ones from the first Alien movie. Its called an inconsistency in the film and tv shows it happens relax. Remember when Stargate the movie was made into a show on Showtime and Sy-Fy (hate the new spelling) well they changed and made it more complex for audiences. I have seen this mistake many many times and its because people are upset at the new changes.

You can't change that idea I'm happy with it and its FINE dont ruin it with an "alternative Space Jockey theory" its ridiculous.

The irony is that the Space Jockeys are more human than we, as pure homosapiens :p and the crew of the Nostromo, well, they couldn't discover the truth.

LOL Mateos! I have no solution! Best Plot ever. @ JeffOmorph 1.)great theory 2.)Black Goo coming from creature and being the main basis for technology...great! But it might also be cool if some creatures are used to create things too 3.)Waring Engineers for sure....but maybe their just bad! Maybe they suffer from a Kamikaze syndrome 4.)I like where your going with this idea. I think there might me more to say about slavery here for sure. Willing devotion or mind control? 5.)I think that creature in the mural might be ancient, before Humans. But as an evolutionary step for Engineers could be a sign of their devotion and use of Goo! Throw some time traveling invaders from the future might mess thing up too 6.) David might be not so impressed with Engineers cause one of them ripped his head off. Which makes me wonder if when he gets in the chair that he might be compromised by the alien technology. 7.) I'm all for ramped up military exploration of the domes as a side story as the convoy is split into separate missions regarding this evolving situation humanity is face with. As for the Engineers relationship between humans....nothing special other than being food or hosts for some other nasty creatures. :)Telepathy for sure Intelligent and wicked!! Humans are doomed! Great write up...got me to relax with some goo and ponder some more

I dont think we can expect the SJ to be completely different. The Space Jockey is and will always be a Space Suit...... i am sure Ridley is aware of the size difference and it dont add up to Prometheus Engineers who are suposed to be 9-10ft thats been scaled down from the 12ft ones in one draft and 15ft in another. Basically the idea behind both Drafts was a 12-15ft Race that matched the size of our Space Jockey. Ridley can fix this now, but do not expect the Space Jockey to be any different to the Engineers, not vastly. i would assume that a redesign of the Elders will be done, and that there will be some other being at the top of that ladder. And the Space Jockey like the Engineers and Humans are all some creation in the grand scheme of the Elders and their creators plans. Thus we may see a taller Race of Humanoids who bare resemblance to Engineers who will be the Space Jockey a race of 12-15ft beings... The Engineers will get some design treatment and be explained as a race of smaller Humanoids but still standing 7.5-10ft tall.... Then we have mankind a race of 5ft-7ft beings. Quite how the Elders will look now is any ones guess but i think they would still appear similar i.e Humanoid and looking. As for who or what is at the Top of the Engineer Hierarchy we just cant be sure how Human or Alien or Machine this/these beings will be.

Ruhaniya › you welcome, we must to see the cast, and if Weyland&Yutani appears on the movie. You see the logo, Sea of Tranquility and Thedus, main quaters and locations of the companny, probably could be linked on the plot.

Yes, it is likely that the elders are higher than the Engineers we see in Prometheus. Maybe Ridley Scott make a change there, who knows ...

I would assume this is the case.... Why remove the Elder Scene? Why remove most Last Engineer Scenes? They seemed to show first some of the Engineer Culture and kind of placed the Engineers on similar plane to Elders, they appeared just younger versions and not as frail... The scenes showed the Engineer was intrigued with mankind, and especially Shaw... The removal of the scenes, indicates and shows us the Engineers portrayed more as simply a Race of Clones created to perform tasks for a higher power, and they lesson the emotional responses and individuality of their race. Not showing the Elders, and portraying the Engineers as simply tools as David 8 is, could mean they would redesign the whole Hierarchy of the Engineer Race. Allows them to revamp the Elders, either make them less frail and larger and immense or even have them show us that Engineers, and Mankind are not the only Humanoids created for their Agenda.. and that indeed a larger race of Humanoids was also created... a 12-15ft one and thus the Space Jockey discrepancy is sorted.
