New Trailer in Feb?

if it was strictly a 15 then i would be satisfied with that I figure i will enjoy it anyway but i really was hoping for an r /18. Although 2001 was u and was adult themed but this alien universe has all the ingredients for a dark hard 18 .

i hope a new trailer is released sooner rather than later, i was apprehensive about seeing fresh images in a new trailer, but my need to see fresh scenes has over taken my need to not see them or be spoiled hopefully, there will be a new trailer in Feb, my guess is, that if ANY will air, it would air during the Academy Awards telecast in late February not a certainty, just a hunch

God I hope I don 't have to pay for PM just to see a new trailer.

I honestly can't believe people are crazy enough to PAY to see a trailer. I can't wait for it to come out though.

Guys, when the trailer is released, don't take the trailers rating as the actual rating for the film. Ratings for films and trailers are not always the same, for example, the trailer for Monster was a 15 but the film itself was an 18.

yes that's true but if its being pitched to a audience sitting in for a pg film then i imagine that's an audience they want to attract. Its not always the case though.

some how i just cant see Ridley allowing that as he has had many times stated he would only do another Alien if the script was good and it was adult themed ie R rating

The fact is we do not know what is going on and will know more when the time approaches for film release.... No need to freak out over something like rating...

R rating with all the gore in 1979 was hard core back then. Today with hardened youths, thanks in part to the internet and sex/violence being what most consume, I'll bet from the look of the trailer, Prometheus will have some real serious hardcore scenes and get away with a G rating! This is 2012- Sodom and Gomorrah people! Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney gets involved on this evil rumpus-ride action! Either way, the previews are seriously disturbing, depicts serious hardship and violence. I think Prometheus could very well be an R rating. Awww HELL YEAHHHH!

I'm betting it will get an R rating. Scott's films don't shy away from an R when the subject matter warrant's it. A movie gets an R these days even if you say the F word more than once. I'm not too worried about it, besides I'm just thrilled that Scott's back in charge of this thing. Getting back on topic though I hope the new trailer whenever it comes out doesn't give away too much despite the fact I can't get enough news about it. I think less is more in this case. I love the current trailer. It compares a lot to the original trailer for Alien.

Other than Matchstick Men.. has Ridley Scott ever made a movie that wasn't rated R? Also, I believe the rating for this film was a source of conflict between Scott and Fox during its initial conceptualization; i.e. Fox wanted a PG-13 film to make more money, but Scott was adamant about the R rating.

well what is certain is that we will have the respective dialog between characters... but my big question is: can we see scenes fast and short of some of the creatures in this film?

I can't wait to see the new trailer, but I really hope the movie isn't PG-13! Cause we all know an "R" rating means that it's going to freaking "Rock!".

I really hope it does not get PG-13, but if it were getting an R rating than it will most definatly not hit the big screen here. . . Second trailer in february alredy? That would be really great but I think its almost to good to be true. They kept us hanging for a really long time with the first one.
