Hey guys, I will remind you to start the oft-mentioned scene from Alien the eighth passenger in Dallas, Kane and Lambert explore the inside of the Space Jockey ship. Passing through the chair asks Lambert has happened to the rest of the crew ... Well, as already mentioned we can see a few capsules or pods in the chair scene in the trailer of Prometheus. The most likely to be hypersleep capsules such as the Nostromo. This gives us an indication that there is a crew for the Derelict. More interesting is to visualize the room of the Chair of the Space Jockey as a room of hypersleep, and at the same time as the bridge of the ship. Maybe the Jockey pilot is awakened to desppegar and maneuvering to travez of the space. In the other sleeping chamber can have other Jockeys waiting to be awakened to perform functions such as: the capitan, soldier, scientist or doctor.
hyper sleep?... i thought it would be far more alienesque, far more in keeping with biotech/body-horror themes if the ship grew its pilot who's sole existence from birth to death was the voyage & mission. it's conscious the whole time , nervous system integrated with the ship; feels pain when the ships trajectory is incorrect or asteroids strike the hull, hunger when running low on fuel etc. then the real passenger is then born at the destination using the no longer needed pilot as an incubator i'm really disappointed by the suit idea
That could work really well in a print story, but probably not so well on film. There aren't as many opportunities for dramatic interraction, if your main antagonist is permanently attached to the furniture. On the other hand, if the SJs could biomechanically merge/unmerge with other forms of their technology at will..........that could still be very creepy, and I'm guessing, that's how it will work.

I would love to see how SJ civilization look like..... how they come into be... how and why they made earth, humans.....IMO the planet the Prometheus crew stranded on is not SJ home planet..

Yes, certainly can be containers of biomechanoids Suits. The hypersleep chambers is just one of the possibilities... regards
