I like how in a recent interview Idras Elba when asked if the "secret" of Prometheus would blow our minds when we see the movie - He simply replied "yes" To me this makes it sound like there will be a revelation that is on the scale of The Empire Strikes Back when Darth reveals he is Lukes father. What will the revelation be? I certainly like the other thread about the new trailer whch shows a quick clip at the end of the original Derelict. This indicates to me that the Derelict in Prometheus IS definately the one in Alien. The connecting threads are what interests me. I posted on an earlier thread, I would like to think that the revelation turns the entire original Alien story into a tiny little sub plot in comparison to the new BIG picture! Feelings?

Can someone get a screengrab of this shot of the original derelict? I can't find anywhere that has a version I can use with VLC player.....

The secret is that humankind is the Xeno's mother (father?)!!! haha... wait. Maybe? No, no idea. My guess is the same as Ridley has stated he created Prometheus to be epic AND tie back to Alien. In keeping with the original Prometheus story, I'm of the theory that Prometheus ties to a certain race/creature that helps mankind out and then gets supremely punished by the ruling/God race for doing so. Having a horde of Xeno's unleashed on you would qualify as epic punishment in my book. Anywho, how the original aliens/Xeno ties into the over-riding story is one of the many, many questions we have 111 days and roughly 23 hours to wait for. If the movie's anything like the anticipation, it's gonna be great.

The proto-xeno is actually a cross between the SJ and prehistoric human. A punishment to the SJ who tried to become a god, and bestowed knowledge that should have been kept secret. The proto-xeno is what the superior being gave him to reign over as god.
