In ALIEN, How Did Ash Get Into Mother’s Computer Room…Undetected By Ripley?

Hey...maybe there were two Ashes...haha...I think. Huh, I never thought of that before. Probably because it's a lame idea. Still...could've been cool...maybe... ~N

I think the idea of the scene was that Ripley was so caught up in the moment of realizing that had set them up and still being shock of recent events that she didn't take notice of the door being opened. Look at how shock she was when he had his smile saying "there is a reason for this". Well that's my take on that scene. =)

Actually I am getting so bored by this website ... it has literally drained out my enthusiasm for the movie Prometheus. I was so excited but now after reading all this junk by so called know it alls, I have lost interest.

Maybe he was already in the room before she entered, and hid when she came in. If he was a droid placed there by the company, then he most likely had all the clearance codes in his program.

I've just concluded a long and strenuous cross examination of the Ash control room scene as well as scenes before, after and also numerous scenae relative to the topic and I'm certain of one thing for sure now.. He does infact defiantly use the door.

Perhaps they are one and the same mind ? It was Mother that allowed Ash to open the door even previously at the air lock... What ever scientific information Ash had collected :| Mother knew and transmitted it back to humanity. Ash might have been brought on 2 days before they left port but it was no hasty decision due to previous knowledge. This one point of the movie and the silence of Ashes mysterious psychotic entrance enforces the image of the company being underhanded. What ever happens in Prometheus will bring weight to the seriousness of the companies decision to sacrifice the Nostromo.
