xenomorph perception

I was wondering if anyone here has any idea's on how the xeno perceives the environment it finds itself in . Just as we saw the predators point of view in the predator films its an angle that has never been explored in any of the alien films, so just how does the alien perceive the world ? does it have senses similar to a bat ? echo location/sonar, of does it detect heat, smell etc, or maybe it has some kind of xray detection, or like a viper detects movement through vibration, any thoughts on what you would do to to display a xeno point of view?.

lmao, I also believe the Xeno does something unique, I forget what it is called but the idea was first presented in the Alien VS Predator Console Video game. IT finds it's prey sonically through the resonation of it's prey's Heartbeat. Anything like that or through heat Detection is very exciting to me.

The Heartbeat would be a combination of extremely sensitive hearing and sensing electrical discharges, heat detection could be added to the Aliens pharyngael inner-jaw, much like with a snake.

you know ken kesey wrote one flew over the cuckoos nest, after that he volunteered for experiments with the us army on a base in California with this new drug called lsd that had been supplied to the us army by the CIA. He decided after trying it to steal a huge vat of it and said there is no way the army are having this to themselves and he went away on a bus all around the usa selling consciousness expansion for a buck and a half. It was also one of the first batches of lsd that had come from the sandoz lab made by the one and only Albert Hoffman the father of this incredible substance.

"Sorcerer" for me is one the greatest films ever made. The Plot is simple. 4 different men have committed terrible crimes and find themseves hiding in exile in South America within the same complex with hundreds of other such men, but these 4 are the best DRIVERS, and get selected for a shot at a lot of money meaning a new found freedom or Death; Their Mission, commandere 2 seperate jeep type Trucks filled with Aging, Leaking Boxes Of NitroGlycerin Sticks needed to put out a nearby industrial fire, well almost, it's about 500 miles away and only accessible by truch through the worst driving conditions imaginable. IMO, one of the most under rated and fun films to watch ever made! A true Willima Friedking Masterpiece and wiht a riviting orchestrial soundtrack by "Tangerine Dream". There is ONLY one other film I liked as much and that one was also made by Willima Friedkin and it;s called "The 9th Configuration"" and starts Sacey Keach plus a colorful cast of other well known actors. It's the ONLY other film I ever liked as much as "Sorcerer".

alteredstate, my point is none of you are thinking "Out of the Box" you are all using Earth related elements and applying them to the Alien. In the books the Alien has seen in "pheromones" and "Ultra Sound" but its not from Earth, the most likely aspect about the Alien is that its a Bio-Mechanoid and there fore possibly silicone based making it immune to its own acid blood, maybe it has no perception at all, maybe it feels differentiating echos in the gravity field around it.

you could be right grindolf but it makes for interesting speculation even if our ideas are a bit earth bound. I got to add my knowledge of the alien universe is limited to the films and only the first two.. although i have seen them all, there are people here who know a hell of a lot more than me about the comics, games , books etc and the avp series i'm learning all the time to that's why i posed the question because i haven't all the facts.
