Hmmmmm, I can see where you are coming from, but it could equally be the way 'Greg Louganis' held himself, his drive for perfection, him being a loner, his ability to look unattached....... Also not sure that the jump off the vehicle warrants a world class diver, therefore I think it's more of an emotional way of how he represented himself physically rather than his ability.........

I think the relactionship is different .... Greg Louganis was an extraordinary man of elegance ,maybe the fact that he is gay gave him an elegance in the sport that no other diver had ( a bit like rudolph Nurayev in ballet dancing ) . So his "movements" " elegance" were not ordinary ...not classic male ... and are perfect to rappresent someone that is not human . I dont think the mohawk guy is fassbender

Didn't Louganis suffer a terrible accident hitting his head on a spring board. I seem to remember at the end of his illustrious career somethng like that happening to him but I could be mistaking him for someone else. Either way, I am old enough.ol, to confirm everything Frantz said right there up above.

naw... from what I've read, Fassbender is playing the android in this movie. Hard to believe he could transform into something else.

On youtube there is an interview where a german diver died by hitting his head on the spring board just before Louganis was about to take his turn.

Louganis did hit his head in the qualifing rounds of the Seul Olympic games ...he was injuried but he continued the competition winning the gold for the fourth time i think ... ( and someone still think gays are not corageous ! )

Can't be Fassbender. Fassbender plays David the android, who probably doesn't get transformed. I think it's one of the minor characters in the film.

I'm quite sure it is NOT Michael Fassbender who plays David the android. Why? 1. the mohawk guy wears completely different suit than the Prometheus crew. I bet he is one of the mercenaries / grunts and not from the scientist team. 2. David is a blond android. Making the hair totally different because of mutation makes no sense and i doubt that he as an android would mutate like that

CBT1979, Michael Fassbender does indeed play David the Android...this has been confirmed, and he's clearly visible with a "Blade Runner"-esque hairdo in the teaser. Anyway, just because the thing jumping of of the truck/exploration vehicle/whatever looks like he may be doing a belly-flow doesn't make it Michael Fassbender (especially as it looks nothing like Fassbender and has totally difference facial structure)...that seems like a leap...of logic to me. :P If you'll notice, one of the leaked stills from Conic-Con showed the result of this scene with the person in the space suit flaming the humanoid creature (overhead lights are identical), so it may not even be a major character (depending on when in the films this occurs)...

I'm nealy certain that the guy leaping off the vehicle is the same guy we see in the shot where the woman in falling to her knees in the medical room, he is on his knees next to the guy in the wheelchair with David facing them, the reason I think it is this same guy is because he has a mohawk that you can quite clearly see in that shot, and also I think the facial features are similar, albeit mutated in the leaping scene. I've been over the trailer with a fine-tooth comb many times, and that was the conclusion I came to. I may be wrong, but I don't think I am.....

i do not agree ... or almost i cant be sure ...the mohawk guy is clearly seen in 4 shoots a) climbing a vehicle b) jumping from a vehicle c) in the red lasers scene ( background ) d ) with ridley scott ...raising into air ... the guy on the weelchair is more similar to me to the bald giant guy in the raising chair scene and can be the "sick" guy in the mercenary shooting scene . To me are two different characters but of course i cant say that you are wrong cypher .
