Let´s take stock!

My current thinking on what the plot might be about is as follows: •A long and slow explanation of pregnancy within Greek mythos, tying into the Alien franchise while the audience is largely distracted by creatures running around and causing havok. Should all be explained at the end. •A symbolic expansion on Blade Runner where the android's maker meets his own maker and probably kills him (i.e. we're no different than what we make). •A lead-up to a greater war with another race. I think this will be the mystery of the film, leaving way for a sequel. I don't know if the eggs truly are a weapon, but I'm sure jockey-boy had his enemies. Mischief was a trademark of Prometheus. There's got to be a reason he's doing whatever he's doing, surrounded by urns, eggs and what-not. •A greater appreciation of Theron's butt. This will be the main theme of the film and not watered down by ground-breaking philosophy or other petty academia.

An elderly Peter Weyland travels to a distant planet with his cybernetic individual David to investigate the source of the first extraterrestrial signal. Upon arrival on the planet, the crew is shocked to find a stone carving of a giant human head in an underground temple. The crew bring back what they can carry which is an alien head or helmet and an ampule. The helmet turns out to be empty. The ampule contains organic matter. During a return trip to the underground temple, one of the crew members undergoes a frightening metamorphosis whereby the crew member's physical appearance changes dramatically. After the crew returns with the transformed crew member, he or she suddenly starts attacking the crew. He or she is killed with a flame thrower. The crew decides to investigate the rest of the planet. They discover a working Space Jockey ship on the other side of the planet. The crew investigate the Space Jockey ship where they discover a holographic star map which contains the Sol system. Lots of stuff happens. Peter Weyland and David decide that the Space Jockey(s) are evil and need to be stopped. David sneaks back to the Space Jocky space ship and hijacks it and prevents it from leaving the alien planet. The End.

My 2 cents; The space jockey was caught "seeding" developing planets 4 resources. Can't get 2 the resources iffin lifeforms already there. Let the punishment fit the crime. I:E, "Pop goes the whisle". The problem with Reanimation, or bringing the dead back 2 life 2 study, is that it's old habits of superiorty comes n2 play. So some damned fool's gonna get bit, thinks he's GOD, and in the end in need of cappin. Should've had him on lockdown as soon as he got sprayed. I think the crew's gonna run across 1 of space jockey's crew, IR his head 4 likeness 2 humans. Remember, Space jockey still had his head on n Alien. ? 4 2day is how U gonna say life started "Out there" without HARD facts 2 back u up.

Very hard for me to do but will have a go only been studying this stuff for a few days now and don't know what to think as a whole but will say some of the things I think even if I'm wrong. Peter Weyland sets out on an exbidition on prometheus for weyland and the Maghellen with Shaw sets out on an exbidition for Yutani. They are in competition to discover mans origins and any possible new technology they can garner from the trip. I think shaw beats weyland to it... whilst one of the crew become infected with the goo.. There is a race to get to the temple but both teams calm down and stop fighting one another in the star map room. Shaw disappers.... Holloway starts to metamorphasise after getting the goo on him.... There is a redevouz where things get nasty between the prometheus and the maghellen but the maghellen needs help as the situation worsens with there ill fated crew member which appears to go on the rampage and they need help to go back for shaw. The prometheus agree to helpfind shaw and holloway dies. They manage to get shaw back... She did not say she was pregnent with child but her baby's DNA has been altered and needs to be surgically removed... But the feotus survives outside her womb and begins to grow rapidly but is unhumanlike. Weyaland and Ash want to keep the thing removed from shaw and study it... Shaw is distraght and both the crews are divided over this and causes conflict. The crews set a course back for earth but discover they are being followed by an alien spacecraft... They decide to divert to the next celestial body nearest to them LV426 and land to face the alien spacecraft folowing. All hell breaks loose at this point but the thing removed from shaw is now on the loose in the ship and has started to kill the crew. Cant really nail all of this down as of yet but somehow ash brings about the destruction of the ship and shaw tries to stop him... The SJ's are not evil as such but they mean business.. They admire ash in a sense as he is a creation of their creation so he manages to get close enough to release somthing to corrupt their biogenetics which leads to the SJ being Chestbusted and the creation of the xenomorph. I know it aint right but it's all speculation anyway.. TBH I do not know enough yet but I had a go
