I don't think that they are really talking about the cat. I think they are going to revel their first android. The project name is A0. Ash was a Hyperdyne Systems model 120-A/2. A later model. And maybe there will be a JOAN Z? LOL. Who knows.

Maybe it's a fake, but consider this: We see a wayland speech about the future of android technology and now a yutani article mentioning biotechnology. I think that the viral campaign is designed to give us some background on these two corporations. We now know for sure who developed android tech and we now know who took the lead in biotech. Consider the Alien story; Ash sent with crew to make sure Alien life form is returned for biowaeapons recearch. Wayland/Yutani baby!! Here they come!

I don't think it's fake, and if it is, well it is well done, and although humorous, it is a perfect viral tie-in, being consistent with the Alien universe without being directly linked to Prometheus.
