MemberFacehuggerMar-14-2012 1:30 PMIn Alien there was a ships cat, as such I've not seen any mention of any animals being on board the Prometheus. Has anyone come across the mention of any animals/pets being on board the Prometheus during interviews etc. Could the introduction of an animal on board like a cat influence the overall plot of the movie?

MemberOvomorphMar-14-2012 1:36 PMNo...I have a picture I made of Jonsey sitting on top of the Giant head in the Ampule Room and I tired to pass it off as proof that Jonsey was in the new film but noone fell for it cause you guys are all to smart and geeky with regard to this entire franchise. As far as I know not one word has been mentioned about any life form other than Human so far. No Dogs Cats Snakes Lizards or Elephants at all.

MemberFacehuggerMar-14-2012 2:37 PMFrom the trailer, I'm not sure which crew member it is who is getting blasted into the back of beyond (Shaw I think), but they seem to be holding something that suspiciously looks like a cat box to me.

MemberOvomorphMar-14-2012 3:16 PMJones was carry-on luggage for a bunch of space truckers. These guys must be armed, scientific, corporate explorers and maybe pets aren't allowed.
Maybe it's Union rules? All other animals have to ride in the cargo hold. I hope they remembered to poke holes in the box!

MemberOvomorphMar-14-2012 7:24 PMi actually knew what your picture was, i just thought it was common knowledge and no Spartacus, "star-beast" was the working title for alien, that picture is from the movie "dark star" a school film by Dan O'Bannon, it was a spoof of 2001 and alien is his remake of it. but he wanted to make it horror.
