want-to-see-prometheusNOW!
MemberOvomorphMar-15-2012 11:15 PMThis isn't such a big deal (well, for me it is). They won't be showing Prometheus until August over here where I am, which is Japan. Oh well:( Just felt like sharing that.
Until then, I'll just keep enjoying the discussions up until near June.
It's been great being a part of this forum. Enjoy reading everyone's comments.

MemberOvomorphMar-15-2012 11:49 PMI'm sure the movie will be all over bittorrent by then in case you just can't hang on. Not advocating piracy (much) - but I definitely plan to download a copy after I've seen it at the theater in 2D and 3D. I reckon at that point Riddles has gotten his moolah from me. This is probably one of the few films that I plan to see at the theaters expressly for the purpose of jacking up its revenue numbers to reward and encourage good filmmaking.

MemberOvomorphMar-16-2012 12:38 AMI'll being doing the 3D theater thing (no way to avoid, really)
then the blu-ray, then the torrent for those idle times betwixt jobs.
That's plenty for Scott and Fox

Co-AdminMemberOvomorphMar-16-2012 2:28 AMUntil you get your code for digital release from your Blu-Ray or however you get it. I'll be buying the Blu-Ray version of this and more than likely the Alien movies at the same time, I hear they are spectacular to view :-D

MemberOvomorphMar-16-2012 3:42 AMBrother, i feel your pain. I am English but live on the small Island of Cyprus near Greece. It is a strange place when movies come out. For example Thor and The 300 came out like 2 or 3 weeks before anywhere but something like Battle LA or Sherlock Holmes for example only came out like a month or two after everywhere else. I have no idea when Prometheus is coming out as i cannot find the info anywhere. A lot of movies do come out at the same time as everywhere like Avatar for example. I asked here a while ago on this forum if anyone has any links to sites with correct information on release dates but nothing. I feel your pain man as i may very well be in your shoes when it comes out. My birthday is 9th June. I want to see it on that day..... fingers crossed.

MemberOvomorphMar-16-2012 3:56 AMThis is BS. It should come out everywhere at the same time. I know that might be difficult to do but with all the build up to this & the amount of secrecy that has gone into the whole project. It just seems daft to let it fall at the final hurdle by releasing globally at different times!!

MemberOvomorphMar-16-2012 3:59 AMIt's too soon... I doubt the final cut is even done yet because there is still no running time posted... But it's close to completion for sure

MemberOvomorphMar-16-2012 6:19 AMHaha. You should come to Finland. Some films open on really crazy times in here.
Like Tinker, Tailor, Soldier and Spy (Gary Oldman movie!) had it's premier here just a couple of weeks ago, so it took like 7 months to get here.
Prometheus and many major movies do still open at the same time with the rest of the world. Too bad I mostly don't like these major movies. Minor movies then again mostly won't even be shown here .

MemberOvomorphMar-16-2012 9:59 AMGomenasai...... Hey, at least you will be able to get cool Prometheus related swag after the movie. Remember seeing Jurassic Park in Shizuoka. When I walked out, was met with an entire room of movie related merchandise. Love Japanese theaters!!! Hope all is well, or at least getting better over there. Going back in July. Ganbareyo Nippon!!
I may work for the company, but im really an OK guy.
