Concerning David

I suddenly got a feeling that David is torn between his feelings for Shaw and his duties to the Weyland corporation. When I say feelings for Shaw, I don't mean sexual, I mean he builds a bond with her. When I reflect on the footage I saw, like when he's in the hallway with Vickers and it looks as though they're arguing and another scene, where I'm assuming he's talking to Shaw, he's something like "what would you do" to find what you want to know or something (can't remember exactly what he said). These scenes were in the trailer. Any thoughts?
