Giant Space jockey from alien vs Ardvark in prometheus

So much talk of size differences, but I have yet to see an engineer or SJ next to a human for comparison... The engineer in the very first trailer looks big enough to ride the chair like a mini-bike. There is a figure in front of Shaw while she is on the floor, and he has a black suit on BUT his face is not visible. Seems more likely that it is Halloway, in whatever mutated form he has taken.

I think it's highly unlikely that the 'space jockey" we see in Prometheus will be the same *exact* one from ALIEN (given that it's already pretty obvious that the alien ship in Prometheus is destroyed shortly after take off). I think what we're going to see in this film is essentially some background into the culture and technology (and attendant horrors) of the "Engineers" and their various legacies.

It possible there are 2 ships, also prometheus seem smaller in size and we don't see the entire ship destroyed, just the initial impact. Your probably right about this movie not focusing too much on the events of Alien but id like to see a nod to the Alien SJ post credits maybe.

David might reroute the Engineer navigation to LV-426 since the location of that planetoid is known to the weyland company. It could also take 40 ish years to get there. When the company discovers this information they reroute the Nostromo. Speclative food for thought.

Here's what I'm talking about... http://db.tt/TdvvzBve ... It's obvious that the original 'alien' space jockey scale is honored in 'prometheus'... We're just jumping the gun on announcing that there's an alien being in there.... This ship we see in 'prometheus' and 'alien' is probably dictated by the biomechanical suit to pilot the ship, enabling the pilot to have sensory control over the craft, rather than our human analog controls we have in our technology. So if a crew member of the prometheus insists on commandeering the alien craft, it's probably mandatory that they wear "space jockey" gear.... Make sense?
