MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 11:22 PMIt's not a plot or direction I'd hope for to be honest. Perhaps this tie between all these races implied in the recent trailer, was symbolic of a war or conflict with a similar foe. We are assuming these historical / archeological pictures are all from earth but what if earth is only one planet that this evidence has been found, and some of the other civilization ties are from discoveries of other planets. Earth just happens to be the only planet that is still alive. Either the SJ engineer race was purposely burried and entombed for a reason, or destroyed itself before it unleashed its plans on earth. This, along with the SJ trying to destroy earth seems so contrived and ordinary to me.

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 11:49 PMI like the idea that the Giant Head is actually the Engineer being entombed...literally. He is that freaking huge: the rest of his body is below the surface of the temple. There are old illustrations by Gustave Dore of Satan being encased by a frozen lake. That image, I couldn't shake.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 1:10 AMThe sequence with the 3/4 shot of the "Visitor" with the dark substance transforming the body, may be the reason for them leaving the surface or the planet all together.
That dark substance can be seen in the urn that David pulls out with his bare hand.
Tsunamis can start from a minute drop.
