MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 7:53 AMThey are:
- Who is the 'blue' looking guy (who reminds me of Voldemort). IMHO it's a SJ, some people are saying David.
- What is the UFO like ship? How does this fit in? Perhaps this and the 'blue' guy appear at the beginning of the movie when we get an insight into how SJs helped life on Earth along the way. But they messed up and had to go homw, and the only time they knew when they could go back to finish what they started is when we had the tech to make it to the Pleiades ourselves.
- What and why does there appear to be Xenomorph mural and is this connected tot he 'moving face' that Shaw sees and that Vickers comments on?
- If not connected why is the face 'moving'?
Thanks.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 8:00 AMI'm thinking the blue guy could be David after exposure to the "goo". That could tie in neatly with the whole Prometheus myth where he is stealing the gift of life from humans and it would also be a tidy origin for the biomechanical theme that runs through the entire Alien series.
Whatever, it all looks so cool, I can't wait.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 8:15 AMI'm with you on the idea that UFO ship will appear at the film's beginning and then cut to the scene in the trailer where Vickers' V.O. says, "a god dies." I'm very hyped by what I've seen so far, and I can only hope the entire film delivers the way the trailers did.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 8:33 AMI'm thinking the blue guy is just one of the first humans created by the space jockeys on ancient Earth. It could be an initial and unsuccessful attempt/prototype, hence the weird black veins. Or it could be the first successful Human created...the veins and skin color could change in its eventual offspring.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 8:40 AMI think it's Holloway that becomes the 'blue figure'.
"- What and why does there appear to be Xenomorph mural and is this connected tot he 'moving face' that Shaw sees and that Vickers comments on?"
And why is Shaw crying when she asks?

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 8:56 AMI agree that Logan Marshall-Green's character is the blue guy. But, I'm curious as to how Shaw ends up nearly dying as we see in the trailers?

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 9:07 AMLet´s see:
David: I see a lot of people talking here in this forum about David changing in this, metamorphoseating in that, etc. I think this is impossible. David isn´t an organism, as neither of the other androids (Ash and Bishop) in the "Alien" franchise were. So I would be very surprised if the plot follows along that line. Also, the landscape in the place where the blue guy stands is very similar to that of the looming circular UFO, and most people seem´s to agree that this place is ancient Earth.
Space Jockey/Engineer: it could be that the blue guy is a SJ with a bad case of skin disease. But I can´t see much coherence space to an alien-dying-from-earthling-disease here. Not only because this is an overused theme best suited for lesser directors, but also because from the archeological evidence showed by Holloway and Shaw it seems that the alien race visited Earth many times, the last one not that much time ago (the Aztec civilization is firmly anchored in the CE).
Actually I find the blue guy with skin disease one of the great misteries of the last wave of traillers.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 9:28 AMmelkor,
I don´t see a "face moving" in the trailler...the chamber´s roof appears to be changing, I agree, but can´t see a "face".
Could the "xenomorph mural" appears as a consequence of that?

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 4:55 PMI don't think anyone changes into an SJ in this movie.
