Xeno mural

I might be wrong, but to me it looks like it will be bigger than Alien.

That was spoken about in the so called leaked screener reviews by the 2 Twitterers ... not a spoiler really ;) ...

I don´t believe that. Look at our own robots. Look at David. Why a race like the xeno´s would create an humanoid robot like the SJs? It doesn´t make sense. I still bet that the xenos are a human-suit fusion created by accident.

The mural is very traditional xenomorph looking ... This would suggest that; 1. The so called stories about the creators of the engineers being xenomorph in appearance are true. I personally am not sure about this one, however if the SJ's are "engineers" then who runs the show? I hope this is not the true story, I think it would be pretty poor. Or 2. The xeno is a merging of either David or a human and thier suits with bio-former, either by accident or on purpose. I like this idea, however if this is the case, why is the mural displaying a xeno shaped life form. Unless its looking into the future, which again would be a rubbish plot. Or 3. The xeno is a pre-existing life form or experiment that the SJ's are already aware of or using elsewhere. The plot will just highlight them in this story and nothing more. I personally think that the events in this movie will piss off the SJ race, they will feel that earthlings have become a threat to thier species and will take steps to eradicate us by introducing the xeno to earth. This is why RS said the derelict on LV 426 was carrying a payload of eggs. Lots of theories on this site... Times a ticking, not long now and we will all be in the know, what will we spend our time on then lol... ... The sequel?

We just dont know.... Anyone can surely make up a plot based on the events of the movie.... some stuff that Twitter girl said make sence, some are what i had as my theory, some spot on some just off in minor details.... Yes the Xeno looks like Christ on the Cross, maybe this means yes that means they must have seen the movie as many humans worship the image of Christ on the Cross.... Or maybe they saw the similarities with that and then made up that story based on that because it could potentially be true.... Or not.....

I don't believe in the crucifix scene with the mural ... ;) ... WE (the HUMANS) invented, so to speak, crucifixion ... if Jesus wasn't nailed to the cross there wouldn't be any such thing ... so why would the ALIEN race do that ... they wouldn't know about it ... why copy us if they're supposed to be the GODS? ... That is why I don't believe about that Mural Crucifixion scene or story ... sorry ... ;) ...

I am not saying it maybe is as such..... But maybe thats what Shaw interprets it as?

My question is: why are people so sure it's a mural? I am not saying it's not, but what proof have we got that it is? I haven't read the "leaked" reviews if there are any references to it, but from the trailer I definitely cannot say if that thing is a mural, a mask, a fart or a nice set of cutlery.

I must say though I've always thought it looked too LIFE LIKE to be a mural painting ... :/ ...

Well there are other parts to the "mural" aswell, there's nothing to say its not one either so i assume it is, i saw no references in the leaked plots and other things i've read.

Its possible that the xeno mural may not even be in the film at all..intentional misinformation to keep us off base but serving to keep the tie to the fans of Alien b/c like it or not RS knows that is his base. to give an example, 500 Days Of Summer did this with a scene shown in the trailers that was not in the movie itself....so it would not be without precidence..i hope not but it seems to me that there seems to be some creative editing/artistic leeway occurring under the guise of pushing the larger story in these clips..

i still think that the connection between the rebirth of the xeno will be directly connected to weyland. scotts joking, of course the xeno is in it, he wouldnt wait 30 years and fail to put it in it

and by xeno mural I mean only the specific one with the image of the xeno..I know the mural itself plays a role in the film..just not convinced yet that we aren't being lead on with this or perhaps we are attaching more meaning to it b/c of our familiarity to the xeno that it will play in the movie itself...

The image could very well be in a dream later in the film. Members do get exposed/ infected don't they? Just a thought. We'll know more soon.

The Xeno in that shot in which Shaw looks up is CLEARLY moving. Here is My own personal contention on this ! It is NOT in any way shape or form some kind of "MURAL" it is CLEARLY...in my mind at least part of a Larger "Defense System" and that XENO will come to life as will any others like that which I suspect maybe scattered throughout the Cave...and should someone mess with anything {Vials or anything else} the moment they touch it it comes to life and eats the crap right out of that person!!! The one thing I have learned from that scene positively is this...The Engineers are not the kind of race that would put up a "MURAL" like that in their Living Room for whenever MOM comes to visit, I am pretty sure the "Let's Spruce up our Home Decor Up North in the Country House" thinking is not part in any way of their own mindset AT ALL.

great i found a post for me. after looking at the creation featurette, at 02:15, the slwoly moving goo on the urn, makes me think it's the "xeno mural" anyone else that impression?

I agree with you, Shinobi, that's not a mural at all (never thought it was for sure, but it has always been referred to as "mural") and from what we have seen so far, your interpretation makes very much sense.
