Genetic acceleration of non human DNA?

Prometheus goes to LV426 The Crew discover the civilization that 1000's of years ago used genetic technology to accelerate the evolution of Man on Earth - in its own image (hence the humanoid statue) A member or members of the Crew interact with the genetic material causing a further acceleration in their development and the subsequent chaos. Posibly David 8, who is NOT human but biomechanical - interacts with the genetic material and he is evolved - because his DNA is synthetic it changes him differently?

Well every kind of xeno organism we saw until now age quite fast ... from Alien's xenomorph to Shaw's belly . That of course fit well in a movie that have to last just a few hours . All the biomechanical matter fit very well with David ... still we have no hints about him having some sort of mutation .

Yes, and if you look closely in that picture you will see a second biomechanical type humanoid standing behind the one activating the chair. His(?) left arm and shoulder are clearly visible. I agree with Frantz- I have seen nothing that remotely hints to David being anything more than an android. I think all the talk of his transformation grew from the first fan-made script, and nothing more.

Androids have no DNA, they robots. They just have that egg-yolk/egg-white colored fluid.

Hi xenokiller3 I presumed they had a synthetic DNA but you may be right....thus he can't evolve physically

Thank, you, Xeno! Robots don't have DNA. They don't grow or evolve or reproduce. They are not biological. Reminds me of that old fantasy script that had David falling into the "bioformer" pit then going back in time to become the template for humanity. Pure drivel.
