NEW PROMETHEUS TV SPOT 2

@red hood That eggs alike thing also can be found on the chair display or console display.

Can anybody speculate what ship that is on the pic I posted at the start of the thread? Its not a rover and its not the Prometheus

Anybody else surprised by the amount of stuff coming out? I would have thought May would have been when the TV spots would have started.

Thanks Biomechanic for the excellent shot. I didn't realise it was the containers! I hope that the ships crashing sense is halfway through the movie and everything else, maybe the best part of the movie has no spoilers to it yet!!! We could have been discussing only half the movie so far!!!

What I'm wondering is... in the shot of the derelict leaving the planet, with the two other ships in the air as well, the derelict looks like it's at an extremely high altitude... if rammed by the Prometheus, what are the chances it would glide smoothly down to the ground, land upright, and then roll over... ? I would imagine a rather massive imact crater below it. There was another pic out there showing the Prometheus coming in to land near the first of what looks like 5 temples. 5 temples could mean 5 ships, couldn't it? That could also explain how this isn't planet LV-426... maybe they could only stop one of the derelicts, and another gets away to crash on LV.

@Red hood I think that everything released is meticulously orchestrated to either throw us off the scent or to provide us with just enough information to enthrall us. Like look how obsessed we are with this film's release, imagine how obsessed Ridley is. He knows exactly what he's doing.

The 3rd ship is a dropship for the land rovers. It has fold-down ramp at the front and VTOL thrusters underneath.

and probably used as an escape pod in that particular sequence ....

Woah!.....not one, not two, but[b] 3[/b] full-scale SJs! Nice job posting these stills.......presumably, the figure next to Shaw in the "full length" trailer is an "evolved" crew-member. I think it would be nicely ironic if it was David, and it turned out that [i]only[/i] a "synthetic" is capable of being so evolved.

Enderwiggin, I believe that the pilot in the background of that pic is Benedict Wong as Ravel, and the one in the foreground is Emun Elliot (?) as Chance.

in that starmap scene, that Mr SJ walking in the background is a HUGE muthafaka! YESS

Re: Prometheus crashing into Derelict The idea of noble suicide in scifi directed by a dry, intelligent Englishman is hard to swallow for me, lol! The characters including Janek (Idris is one of favorite "thinking man" black actors in Hollywood, I find Will Smith annoyingly juvenile) and others seem to stable emotionally to commit suicide even if it is a noble one. I hate suicide in movies. I hate people who die for greater cause BS. I prefer people to fight to their death in self-preservation. They could all eject and auto pilot Prometheus to crash into Derelict.

its probably to save Earth and humanity in general. So its hard to compare it to general suicidal behavior. No? Possibility?

I figure that the events that have unfolded up until that point are so fucked up that they'd want to make sure the prometheus hits the SJ's ship, auto pilot would leave too much to chance. Too much at stake. The captain goes down with the ship. I think he's yelling someone's name or something, or it's another voice over edit to amp up the trailer.

"Emun Elliot as Chance" came from Robotpo's fanfic. It's not real.
