Dead Space Jockey(s)?

Obviously from Alien I assumed the original SJ was killed by a chestburster(a rather larger one than the ones coming out of humans). However after seeing stills and trailers in Prometheus, I'm starting to think they are spacesuits of some kind and the SJ looks all together different. Am I wrong?

Maybe thats a whole new prequel!

I agree that the SJs are suits and what's inside of them probably looks somewhat human. What kills them though if they are in fact dying off? Could it be their own goo?

I think it's a virus of some kind through genetic crossbreeding and hybridization....an alien-like creature, or the Alien! I know the script that was leaked a week ago was supposedly a fake, but the ending sounded incredible....with of course the Alien behind it all

I'm sorry, but you say that the end of that "leaked script" sounds "incredible"? I have to apologize in advance, because I don't know how old you are or if you have been to the cinema in the last 15 or so years, but the ending of that "script" made me want to vomit and throw shit all at the same time. I must admit that some of it may be truer than I want to admit, but I will say right now that if that is indeed what was filmed, I will be demanding my money back and I will write Sir Ridley Scott a very angry email. The ending sounded, to me at least, like a cheesy as fuck, lame C-grade horror movie. I'm talking Jason X pathetic. Worse. If that is what Hollywood has been reduced to, I swear I will never again walk into a cinema, and pay them money, to watch any movie ever again. I will pirate anything I think is even remotely interesting, if I end up caring about watching movies after I see this. I had not seen a movie in cinemas for roughly 5 years until I heard there was a new Thing movie coming out, set before the original. I really wish I hadn't paid to see it now. Because it destroyed the setting of the first and changed essential settings and characters for me. Now, I have longer than I can remember wanted to see how the Space Jockey ended up on that planetoid with a hole in his chest in his derelict ship. And I'm 30 years old, so the original Alien movie is older than I am. I'm hoping Sir Ridley has crafted a decent story to go along with the horror element of this movie. If it is anything like the ending in the "leaked script" we saw a week ago, I'm quitting movies. And I'm sorry, but if you think the ending of that load of bollocks is "incredible" I have to wonder a) what generation you come from and b) if you enjoy the Twilight movies and books. It would explain to me at least why you would think it was any good, let alone "incredible." Any twit could write an ending like that, and it SCREAMED CHEESY CRAP to me. I will seriously throw something at the screen and boo as I walk out before demanding my money back, if the cinema refuses to refund it I'll be writing that email to Sir Ridley and asking him for it instead. Sorry to rant.

. . so yeah back to subject. I could see SJ's being the reason behind there own demise. Perhaps even luring mankind as a safeguard to there own destruction. Although, like so many of you fine people out there, I want sumin a lil better than that haha
