Alien Tie-In

Thats must be a big problem since Fox will be pleased to have a new money making franchise with alot of sequels ....however Scott cant leave a movie without a proper ending ..it will be not his style . So i think he will do a proper and satisfying ending but leaving room for a sequel ...and we remember the face of noomi answering that same question "...maybe ..."

Well a tie in is exactley what it means......were all intelligent enough to fill in any gaps in our own imaginations........well at least i am lol. Although heaven would be to see EXACTLEY how the eggs got there and EXACTLEY where the Space Jockey came from WITH those eggs. People say all these questions will be answered, but im not so sure, not the answers IM after anyway. I want to know where the Jockeys began and where the home world was etc

I will not be at all, I have faith that this film will be very entertaining no matter what.

i expect to see something that we recognize at the end but maybe forgot about. i doubt it will be so frank as an egg or a xeno or an embryo. i think, and hope, we will be left saying "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh", not "oh".

totally agree, Sparty. Heck, at this point, if all we see referencing alien are the things we've seen in the trailers, I'll STILL be happy...

i submit the possibility that, if the old man IS weyland, than weyland is the final space jockey, explaining why he wants to bring whatever organism back to earth...thats been the weyland companies agenda from the get go. if the SJ that they encounter on the planet wanted to return to earth, he would have done it. it doesnt appear that he needs anything from us, unless he needed directions.

I think everything will be just fine. He knew exactly how to end Thelma & Louise so there will be no problems here. Vickers and Shaw holding hands driving the Derelict over a cliff on LV426..... Easy!!

hahahaha, maybe the Jockey and David will do me a favor and drive their space craft off a space cliff while holding hands and singing.

I'm going to see a ridley scott scifi flick, not an alien movie. So i really wont care. Also, I like movies with no resolution. It feels more like life. Plus, does it ever piss North Americans off.

Yeah like the Matrix, that ending was cool, then they had to ruin it, I mean how did Morpheus get so fat??? Not realistic for me.

I have said all along that Prometheus will not end with the derelict crashing on LV426 I don't believe it will all be tied up in a nice little package

Like Shane said I too am going to a RS film. How it ends is no matter to me. Most of his movies seem to be open ended anyway so I am sure that a sequel could be done either way. Look at Bladerunner - there has been talk of a sequel which I really don't care if it is done but if it gets done it beeter be damm good as to not to screw up a perfectly good movie. This is going to be a great movie no matter what.

I think it would be better actually if it really doesn't all tie in and the movie works on it's on. Hopefully they could continue the story further with Ridley after this film if it was a commerical success. I think at this point, the people dying to see this film for the most part are fans of Alien and judging from the trailers, it has many of the same elements we loved in the original film.

There already is a known tie in to the original Alien. We are going to see a SJ. Thats a tie in right there. Everyone is so hush hush about plot details. It will have more tie in than just the SJ. They are keeping it quite for a reason. You see a carving of a Xenomorph on the wall in the preview. Ridley will answer the question of how these Xenos were created. It will most likely be a weapon created by the SJ that goes wrong. Humans will be there to witness it and The company will find out about it through those events. How else would they find out about the Xenos?

I don't think the company expected a xeno on LV426. They expected something [probably from knowledge of the prometheus ship and some vague reports] and had an idea of what language to be on the look out for, but the xeno itself? Who knows. It could be as simple as any transmission from an alien origin has to be investigated. Maybe the company itself is looking for answers as there multi-billion dollar project went down the shitter on a wild goose chase. Yes, I expect everyone to die at the end of prometheus.
