Vickers is a robot

Here's an idea, Vickers is a replicant! Have nothing to back this up other than the fact that they want to connect the Blade Runner and Alien universe together. Here is another reach to help that theory..popular influential band in Britain, Dawn of the Replicants...lead singer last name Vickers.

I don't think Vickers is an android or a replicant. I think she only will be a bit aggressive and cold and then turn out to be a coward in this film. That's only my thoughts, probably I'm wrong. And yes, I know about those cold manners and her way of speaking. Still don't think she's the android even if she looks right for it. It'd be too easy.

Slightly off topic-but I beleive that a synthetic must be the link to the creatures we see here & the xeno. Here's why-the creatures in this may be purely organic (unproven) & could infect David?? thus leading to a mixture of synthetic/bio hence new creatures with acid for blood.

Perhaps he's "the Sixth Replicant". We've been debating the whereabouts of that one for 20 years.

Barf. Where are people getting this fuse Blade Runner and Alien stuff???? He's talking with writers, etc. now. I highly doubt he would be working on a new Blade Runner if this were the case. How confusing would that make the plot for newbies?

Vickers MAY be an Android. Stranger things have happened. She could be an experiment to test a synthetic's ability to lead, and test human acceptance of her model. All the synthetics mentioned have been "Davids." She could be a prototype. The Aliens from the original franchise exist in their known form when the Prometheus arrives on the planet. The widely discussed mural/sculpture proves this. It is a species that the engineers have already created or enslaved.

I've thought this for a while now. In an interview when asked about androids in the film Ridley Scott said, 'there may be two'. We know David is one. I thought about Vickers as the obvious choice because she is the corporate representative. There is also a large focus on David being the Ash of Prometheus. But why would they make this so obvious? Maybe we've got David all wrong?! Maybe the second android, Vickers I'm assuming, is more responsible for what transpires? (which obviously won't be good news for most people in the film!).

We know we can expect to see more than one android as per Ridley's comment at comicon: when asked if we can expect to see a robot in the film he said "...there may be two," which I think we can take with a grain of salt...there may be many more. Also, there could be more than one David, as the Weyland website and viral video both imply he is a product of mass production.

Weyland website indicates 1.9 million synthetics employed. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more robots than humans in that crew. Nothing would surprise me at this point. Perhaps it is Vickers that is the 'Pandora' of this tale.

An android does not practically wet her skivvies in fear strapping into an escape pod, as we've seen her do from the first teaser on. When, in any Alien movie let alone the first one, have you seen an Android almost lose it like that? Don't think she's an Android

I was thinking maybe the other robot does not know it is a robot, possibly memory implants? I hate to keep linking things to Blade Runner but it is a cool concept. Maybe David get messed up and they have spare on board, although that would kinda destroy his character development

it's possible, one thing I love about Alien is how irritable and human Ash acted, totally unlike a robot, which infact made it even more realistic and creepy imo

I liked that too in Ash (in fact they were [i]all[/i] irritable and talking over one another - it was great realistic stuff you don't see much any more) BUT, he kept relatively cool trying to stuff a rolled-up newspaper down Ripley's throat. He got a little wonky after getting knocked around a bit, but one thing you didn't see was extreme fear, as in the Vickers clip. You could see irritability and a little anxiousness, but balls-out fear? Didn't see it.

Don`t forget that synthetic humans are not stupid. If the ship goes down and she can escape what is the problem to do it. She is afraid but maybe this is the way she`s programmed. I`m pretty sure that she is robot, because in one of the trailers she has a fight with David. She looks strong than ordinary people in this scene. And she really is very sterile for a human. I don`t know it`s a speculation though. Excuse me for my english it`s not my mother language. :)

So your argument for her being an android is her fight with David which lasts in the teaser for about a sec? We don't really know the circumstances of that moment, so it's really hard to judge or make statements, though I like speculations. Somehow I don't believe she's an android, in other case it makes no sense. Everybody keeps "a possible second android" as a secret and then just throws us videos where you all see her as a android. I'm not saying she's 100% human, but we don't really know anything. Yes, she's a company woman, so her cold manners can link to her work. Strength? Are you saying there are no strong woman? And.. as much as I like Blade Runner those links with replicants, memory implants just seems a bit absurd to me. Just saying.

Vickers is a company "suit". That's why she's cold and stiff and stand-offish.
