That would be cool. An interesting location could be Las Vegas(off the strip, maybe).

They had a premier of Alien at the Egyptian theater here in Los Angeles and they had the original set of Mother and the space jockey set up. There was an accident and they burned down. Most sets and props get stored away or sold in auctions.

@darkgrafix -that sux. seems a lot of these classic sets end up burning down or getting lost

@darkgrafix: I went to see it at the Egyptian when it was out (I was about 9 and begged my parents to take me - my dad had already seen it and let me read the books). I remember the dioramas they had in glass cases of LV-426 and the derelict outside the theater, but the SJ was already gone by then. From what I read, the burning up of the SJ was caused by a religious radical who thought the SJ was a demon or something like that. Not sure if that's true or not, but I wouldn't doubt it.

Especially backlots! (hint Universal. Twice! No more Hill Valley) MGM and Culver City studios all lost their famous backlots to fire. A company called Profiles in History auction off famous props and sold one of the original Alien suits. They helped sell my friends one and only driveable Chitty chitty bang bang car to Peter Jackson.
