It has some religious undertones and perhaps doesn't fit with the idea of the xenomorphs being a weapon.

MemberOvomorphJun-02-2012 9:04 AMPerhaps it is a reminder to the Engineers who crew such vessels and work the "egg" / "cannister" rooms that...THIS [Xenomorph forerunner/prototype] IS THE RESULT IF YOU COME INTO CONTACT WITH OUR OWN TECHNOLOGY!.....?
Is it a warning....or as other fans suggest....is it putting the xenomorph on a pedestal?

MemberOvomorphJul-02-2012 7:36 PMI think that as the Engineers are our creators (they like to create forms of life), this mural shows the best creature they want to created as it is their best creation, a "real survivour" like the xeno has been called many times. maybe they have already created it.
