MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 6:49 PMHello there,
regardless of it's merits or flaws, or whether it's an overall bad film or not, one thing in Alien Resurection has always bugged me. If the Queen Alien had been given a human reproductive system, and could no longer lay eggs, where did all the eggs come from in the nest scene? I'm sure other people have picked up on this. Or did I miss something? It's like the errant egg on the Sulaco.
Cheers for any thoughts.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 6:52 PMThey came from the queen, she laid them first and the human reproductive cycle, born of the genetic blend, manifested some time after the eggs were laid....

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 7:02 PMHmm. Yeah. I guess that could be the case. Where did all her egg laying tubings and sacks go, I wonder?

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 11:05 PMi have some amphibians and reptiles that eat their own shed skin after they peel it off, maybe she ate the egg sack when it wasn't of use anymore? could have eaten it for nutrients and energy since she was preggo in a mammalian way.

MemberOvomorphApr-05-2012 7:56 AMoh I´m sure, the queen´s special Xeno forces did a good job about the eggs..as seen in Aliens when Ripley rescues Newt..

MemberOvomorphApr-05-2012 8:11 AMHer First New Repro System Birth was the creature at the end so we assume that right up until that final few hours {It apparently had a very fast 4 day life span as an adult} it was laying Eggs. Doing things the Old Fashioned way...But That was something I found very interesting to wonder about, Tx.

the coming
MemberOvomorphApr-08-2012 9:55 AMit mutated suddenly, sort of like the jurassic park idea of frogs changing sex instantly from male to female...these are fast adaptable creatures so makes sense
what intrigues me is, if the newborn did not kill the queen (far too easily) then would she continue to give birth to newborns..imagine that

MemberOvomorphApr-12-2012 6:10 PM Taking the estimated 4 day life span into consideration, I believe that this sudden shift could be a play on the human females life cycle. Also, it was stated in the movie that gene flow occurred between Ripley and the extracted queen as an unforeseen consequence of the cloning/ resurrection process; Ripley became more like a Xenomorph and the queen became more human. In short, Ripley became more instinctual and the queen developed into a pansy.
1. The queen basically went through puberty
2. A Xenomorph sobbing in pain makes me want to rage on its own
3. THE QUEEN SHOWS AFFECTION?!?!?!!?!?

MemberOvomorphApr-13-2012 12:43 PMIt just a bad movie (Or a good movie that was only half baked). But when it comes down to it, the only reason why I would watch that movie is Call is cute in it.
