ncc1701: Two things. I wanted to make sure what was written above the left hand one. Egyptian 2470 BCE. And if anything was written above the far right one. And there isn't. I wonder if that means something? That's all. While I'm here: Anyone think the sequence that the stars light up on the animated gif is significant?

Yes 2470 BCE. That's about the time to pyramids of Giza were built. I know others have suggested that the ampules might in fact be canopic jars holding pieces of the SJ.

What I don't understand on the pic posted by Craigamore is why they point at southeastern China on the small map, while in the movie that painting is found in Scotland (and the holographic map clearly shows that). Plain mistake or hint to something else?

@NoxWord, you're right i didn't notice; and aslo 1760 BCE, while i thought the one they found in Scotland was dated to 35 000 BCE.

I have found this picture of the lights on the control panel lighting up. My thougts are that the star chart has to be entered into the Engineer console to start it up. Shaw does this and gives either the 'banished Engineer' or the 'creatures that destroyed the Engineers' access to the advanced technology....... @BellaisanAlien If I remember correctly, this picture was just some speculation, a photoshopped version of what we see in the trailers. You know, when speculation becomes heavy, people start to see things everywhere. I am skeptical about this interpretation.

Nice one Gem]n[, we can also see that the first picture to the left doesn't match with what has been shown on the Facebook App (again). @BellaisanAlien ... Like Noxword says ... I don't think that is anything to worry about ... just coincidence they're arranged like that ... Regarding the markings ... my first thoughts about the 6 circles (before ANY chat) actually showed the 3 planetoids on the left (with LV-426 in the middle) ... on the right, our Sun, Earth & Moon ... to show our 2 systems ... and so NOT a star Map ... that was me thinking out the box lol ...

OK, here we go again... I've taken the liberty of repeating what I said on the AVP forums. It signifies the top of a mountain or a staged tower and such a tower provided an artificial mountain on the flat Mesopotamian plain. Looking at more info on Anu... "Not only is he the father of the gods, but also of a great number of demons, whom he sends to humans" "It was believed that he had the power to judge those who had committed crimes, and that he had created the stars as soldiers to destroy the wicked." House of the Sky (The Temple), The Pure Treasury (The Urn Rooms), Artificial mountain on a flat plain... Recognise any of this? I've tried to tie in the fact that this glyph in on papyrus (Egyptian) but the location marked is wrong, then started thinking Anu... Anubis - but I don't want to go anywhere near Stargate theory.

That's my point Gem]n[, they don't just look similar, they are the same thing! But the map in the left corner is different: in the movie we can see and read Egypt, while on the FB app it is somewhere in western Kazakhstan.
