Maybe it is a production picture, but it looks like he is in the Prometheus mess hall.
Just wondering why Pierce is on the set if he only has a few minutes of screen time as an old and about to die Weyland.
My thoughts, he is an android with the "soul" of the real Weyland. There is the Weyland website that says Weyland can get the memories of a end person. That tech is obtained between the David model and the Prometheus voyage.
None of this really fits, I.e., by having Pierce in the movie unless he has more than a role as a key figure. Well, the TED talk was good at building up Weyland, his company, and humans as characters.
