Blade Runner Writer in Discussion on Sequel

I will be just as excited to see RS make a Blade Runner sequel. Below looks like additional confirmation the project is moving forward. Edit: Updated with fixed link and additional link to story. So he is really doing it then. I wonder why after all these years he is suddenly revisiting both Alien and Blade Runner. Your link didn't work!! T___T

My theory....he originally planned a trio with Alien, Blade Runner, and The Forever War...picking back up where he got interrupted, my guess.

I will fix the link when I get to a PC. Yea, I think Forever War would be a great pure sci fi. With Blade Runner, there seems to be an opportunity to merge the story with Prometheus.

It would be great to have RS dedicated to making real sci-fi movies. He will encourage others to produce something worth watching. Hoping for a new era of sci-fi movies. Right now, there just isn't much quality sci-fi, but there is a lot of good sci-fi stories, like Forever War.

Yes, this has been going around the net the past week or so, and it makes Freeze Him! a happy guy! So excited the Ridley wants to create more science fiction!

I know that Blade Runner has been tied up in copyright hell. That's the main reason it hasn't been revisited by RS or anyone for that matter. Not sure about Alien. To tell the truth I'm glad it's taken so long for this to happen. Right now is the perfect time when it comes to what they can do with them both.
