PS: Inspiration derived from a former post of Cementhead "Beginning of time figure".

im not trying to come off as sounding like a jerk but they have installed a search function now and this topic has been talked about in a few other forums already if the admins go through the trouble to install it we should try and use it

I only want to know two things about this topic:
1) WHO is saying that line in this film?; and
2) WHEN will this line be said in the film?

I believe its being spoken by Charlize Theron as Meredith Vickers.

Yeah, it's Charlize Theron's voice, that's for sure. I do wonder if Scott hired Guy Pearce, just for a brief, in-movie video, and somewhat longer viral marketing effort. ;)
If the old guy in the trailers is Weyland, it could dovetail perfectly with horror movie conventions of justice....ie: innocents sometimes survive, while the guilty nearly always pay a price that's dear. The entire mission is his baby; he is the penultimate ( human ) representation of craven ambition and arrogance...."We're the Gods now." It's almost too perfect.
Since he's "artificial," David is a wild-card in terms of how he would physically interract with the SJ tech. That could potentially work well for the sci-fi geek component of the audience. IMO, Weyland would be a commercial choice; potentially crowd-pleasing, but predictable ....however, I have the feeling that David is a true innocent, and he apparently provides some comic relief, so.........maybe not.
Everyone already hates Holloway, and If Weyland actually has been temporarily revived, Holloway is probably in cahoots with the company.
Who knows, maybe this is all total BS, but several hints have been dropped, about possible intrigues and disparate motivations among the crew.
I think it would be awesome if that is the last scene, and the picture fades out before we have a chance to see where the process ends with that figure near the waterfall. People would be pissed!......... heh heh heh

As for the figure near the waterfall......if the "previews" have actually shown the first 20 min. then it isn't at the beginning....so, it's either a flashback, or something that takes place near or at the end. I do wonder if Scott hired Guy Pearce, just for a brief, in-movie video, and somewhat longer viral marketing effort. ;)

@RC8, wow. Nice job! I do think David will be the focus for the major theme in this film, perhaps the new king to reign?
