No, there is a slithery thing dangling above her head when she is in the medipod. Some kind of robotic arms are holding it above her head. And it does look similar to that thing in the posted pic. I saw on another forum last night where someone who had seen additional footage posted. They were show footage at a kiosk in a theater and given a survey about the film. He said that he got to see the thing close up and that he really thought it was a proto-type facehugger, no doubt about it.

Post the footage here and we can talk about. Hard to discuss with out something to see first.

You guys should go read some of the older posts, this has been talked about a lot. People have broken down the footage and "squidly" as we call it actually seems to have come OUT of saw and is attached by an umbilical type cord. There is even a picture of her with a c-section like scar and a huge belly. Look up the keywords Shaw, Pregnancy and Squidly and you will find the threads. Indeed some of Gigers other work does have Eel like Organisms that have heads like Xenos. There is other work where they have heads like humans, kind of sugesting human mutating. The Orginal Alien Concept Script never had Eggs as per say, it had Urns but ones that was leathery. It had a Temple that had this Urns and a Ship that did not. The Script also described the Organism that attached to the victims head as a Octopus like creation which is also Squid like. We keep refering Shaws Baby to A Squid when indeed it looks more like a Octopus, only with 4 limps and not 8. Ridley said the movie will not have Alien DNA, but then he said you would see traces of it in the movie and then he said you will see definate Alien DNA at the end of the movie. So who knows what he is on about.... I guess he means we wont see a single Xeno or Face Hugger in this movie. I would not say that the Mutated Crew become the Proto Xenos, as they would indeed have to have a lot of Alien DNA and Ridley said we wont see it untill the end. So i think the Proto Xeno (Xenos Origins) has to be 1) Shaws Baby Squid, or what it produces i.e Shaws Gran Child. 2) Shaws Baby Squid infecting either David or the Space Jockey. 3) Some other change/mutation to David or Space Jockey. Or that the Xeno simply already exists before this movie and is what killed off the Jockeys, only the surviving Jockeys either moved whats left of the Xeno Eggs to LV426, or they was either there on LV426 all along, or LV426 was the storage facility for the Bio Weapon. So either Jockeys created them on LV223, they got out of hand, but then stopped and remaining Bio Weapons sent to LV426. Or they was on LV426 and brought to LV223 for experientation but got lose and nearly wipped all the Jockeys out? Or again there could be some other explaination, the thing is no body knows for sure.

@MVMNT; Ty there are tons of posts, really go read up on all the older ones, You new guys are lucky, you have a search engine now. Look up Shaw and there is a ton of post about it, how she could have gotten infected , etc, etc. :)

Much appreciated. One point from this. The huge differences in the resources such as this forum etc now, compared to when the original film came out. Even half the cast didnt know what was going on at points with that, and now a lot of people have probably amassed more theory and conjecture than the cast possibly could now
