Anyone else sharing my pain??

yea, i noticed that too. but i think maybe its a studio thing. the movies you saw only played previews of movies made by that studio and prometheus is something different

By "Big Screen" do you mean the IMAX screen? I saw the trailer on, I guess, a regular "big screen" at a cinema that also has the IMAX screen that I will be buying my midnight release tickets for Prometheus. Saw it when I saw Hunger Games a week after it came out during the early afternoon. Good movie. Now own all three books on the Nook just have to find time to get through them.
Watched an awesome movie last night...unbelievable. Spielberg's "War Horse". Nuff said.... You won't regret it.

Went to see Titanic just for the Prometheus 3D trailer. You don't really understand how epic this trailer is until you see it in the theater. The theater was full and loud, but as soon as the Prometheus trailer played... not a effing peep.

Sounds like good stuff, I didn't see it on the back of 'Dragon Tattoo,
but it's only 6 weeks off now anyway, so who really needs the trailer?

Saw it on the previews for Titanic 3D as well, there's no way I'm not going to see it in 3D after watching the 3D trailer. It's that good. I think I'd rather sit through Wrath of the Titans as opposed to 3 hours of Titanic, just saying.

I don't feel any better butr thanks guys lol, at least I've ticked off Titanic for possible Pormetheus trailers whats next????
Hunger Games was fully awesome, reminded me of Luc Besson without the camp. Just IMO

I feel your pain...still haven't seen it big either....driving me nuts....been debating for the last twenty minutes whether to go to the movies tonight and make an attempt at it....

I went as I said I would and saw 'Wrath of the Titans' in 3D tonight.....I DID see the full length trailer and it was breathtaking to say the least.....people had been chittering during previous trailers and as the 'Prometheus' trailer started up, they all slowly, one by one, quieted down until, as the trailer reached its climatic ramp-up of imagery and sound.....there was total silence......It was beautiful.....

I haven't been to a film since the first trailer was released and also I stopped checking threads that seem to have been generated by that London event where more footage was shown than is in the trailers..I've made a decision to limit exposure as much as possible until the film opens.
As curious as I am, I intend to see this film on the screen straight through and not have online images and discussions precede that experience.
I made this decision after viewing the "David" trailer yesterday. I held off from seeing it quite a while after seemingly almost everyone else had and it had a profound effect on my thoughts about the film. So..as fresh as an experience as possible is in order...this film is too unique and rare for any other approach. I have no doubt that this film will play in theaters with an R rating.
