You do know that...

MemberOvomorphApril 25, 20121088 Views26 RepliesYou do know that if the space jockey(s) turns out to be extremely badass someone is going to have to make a Predator crossover comic or film or maybe both. Currently Predators hold the title in the AvP world and people are going to want to explore a confrontation between them and the new guy on the block, who is really the old guy on the block whose been pulling strings all along. I'm thinking Predator vs Space Jockey and his arsenal of biomechanical pets. I already wanna see it.
PS:and for the purists offended by this suggestion, you have no imagination.

Personally I'd rather see an R-rated Gremlins vs Smurfs!
Seriously tho........ No more meshing up things within seperate franchises!
AVP=Horrendous!

Horrendous yes as films, but the action sequences (of the AvP fighting) are undeniably awesome (when you can actually see them in AvP:requiem through the darkness). If say, James Cameron were to take a stab at it I would not be dissapointed.

we all know the is an Alien skull in predator 2 so hows going to see if there was a big blue guy skull as well ?

The AVP comic miniseries was excellent... then it got made into two terrible movies that don't resemble the comic in the least. I'm all for character mashups done right, bring on the SJVP. I ain't scurred.

yeah, i cant really say anything other than cheesy when thinking about AvP, fight scenes and all. the only part i liked about it was in the beginning when the guy walks in on the 3 predators stringing up his friends. i remember that scene from the comic book a long time ago, except they use the net on him, and it pinned him to a wall. the net was my favorite weapon, even though it wasnt in the original predator.

cheesy yes but where would hamburgers, pizza, and macaroni be without cheese. Cheese is just better on some things. Commando? What would Commando be without cheese. Action movies survive on cheese.

Die Hard, Terminator, Lethal Weapon...dairy free my friend. cheese leads to fat, and good films "trim the fat" ;)
...my girlfriend is lactose intolerant, so i could very well have a conflict of interest.

Seriously though. AVP is trash, my fav part was the end credits of the first movie and i did not bother watching again. The Alien franchise finishes at Aliens for me.

I would only see a movie like this if it were the definitive "VS." movie, featuring the likes of: Aliens, Predators, Space Jockeys, Freddy, Jason, Ash (Evil Dead), Laverne and Shirley, Sanford and Son, and the KVWN-TV Channel 4 Evening News Team. Then, and only then...

Ummm ... what if the Space Jockeys hasn't 'created' the Predators Planet (homeworld) and therefore not created the species for them yet? ... plus when they do they need to evolve ... gonna be a while I think ... and so by that time (chronologically) the Sj's would be dead? ... 'IF' they all die in Prometheus 1 or 2 ...
Just sayin' ;) ...

All I know is that if I'm a Predator, and I like hunting the ultimate evolutionary challenges of the universe, and there's some space jockey flying around creating worlds, making Aliens etc, then I'm gonna get me some of that. And since the engineers are soon to become the declared fathers of the xenomorph that Predators love to hunt, their paths must and will inevitably cross at some point in the AvP universe.
