Now its red blood? Earlier in other locations that was being described as either a nano biomech or a kind of small leech thing. To me it kind of does look like a small water snail that you would find in any small backyard pond or area with standing water. Dont we already know from the David 8 viral that he is a COMPLETE machine with NO ORGANIC components of any kind. And we already saw his white fetuccini alfredo sauce start pumping when they opened up his packing case.

i still dont like the Pinocchio plot ... however in that shoot it really seems a blood drop with the reflection of the ships ceiling lights ... i will watch it better in movement . Pinocchio VS Snail ...

I thought it looked like blood the first time I saw it, except black. I suppose if it's the nanotech, DNA programmed introducing "creature" (for lack of a better term), that'd be kinda "X-files", TV-ish...

On the 1080P version it looks like film crew in the reflection of a reflection of multiple things that seem to move ...it's not IN the liquid though ... as far as I can tell ...

It's black fluid, like on the floor of the temple. It also surrounds the green plasma in the cylinders surrrounding the Head.

it's blood. I looked at it several times today just to make sure. Doesn't have to be David's blood! Doesn't have to be!

@Frantz, I don't like the Pinocchio plot either... hope they don't go there. But, if they do, it may work in a way?

There is a scaling or mirroring theme it seems: Aliens to humans, Humans to Androids. All want to be like their creators...

@Marcs ... I agree. One of the main themes is a quest for our origins, while a subplot is our invention of Androids.

What is it about the Pinocchio angle that bothers you Frantz? It actually makes perfect sense, given what Scott has said about this project, re: an origins story. If David is our Pinocchio, then we're the SJ's Pinocchio. Presumably, that isn't the end of it, either....... kinda works for me. If you have a super-advanced android, capable of self-reflection along for the ride, and there are already religious/philisophical implications in the story, how can you avoid at least some level of Pinocchio sub-text without looking like you missed something that was staring you in the face?

Rather than trust my eyes (which say it's some sort of dark fluid) I decided to try something more objective. I took the image and boosted the contrast way up to see if I could tease any color at all from it, red or otherwise. Here are the results... [img]http://i45.tinypic.com/mj63vl.png[/img] ...nope. It's a translucent greyish-black bubble. Whether it becomes a leech or biomech-something-or-other, who is to say? You certainly can't tell from the image. One thing it isn't though, is red.

I am sure everyone has noticed the “ w“ mark on davids finger. Also david looks so excited when is looking the blood/biomech/creature. It seems that something is changing on him. Or maybe david is the character that has some sort of control on those biomech that humans do not. Remember. Whoever has the control on those things could become a king. Or a god.

You know, it is the cruelest thing not to now for sure if there is a "ghost in the shell", so next best thing is to assume there is one I think.

I too believe it to be black blood. More than likely the same stuff contained in those urns at the temple. I wonder who spills an urn --or do the urns systematically react to the Human intrusion and begin to flow like a river? This may be the bioformer we have been told of... Does David engineer a new breed of beast from this elemental building block to combat the Engineers?
