I saw that character as a mix between Ripley and the Xenomorph Snorky!

Snorky's going get pissy with me :) but I can't help my self.....there's this, direct from the weylandindustries.com timeline: "October 11, 2012 - Weyland Corporation is recognized as a legal entity and corporation under United States law and receives their Certificate of Incorporation from the Companies House in the United Kingdom. Due to the combined value of Sir Peter Weyland’s various patents and patent-pendings, the company incorporates with a higher fair market valuation than any other company in history." I do believe that's after AVP takes place in 2004......

@ Craigamore... Yes AVP takes place in 2004, and was a Weyland Industries expedition, not a Weyland Corporation one. Two separate companies, two separate CEO's. As I've tried to explain before.

"Two separate companies, two separate CEO's" with the same name, with the same pioneering hand and influence in the same fields (particularly AI and artificial biotech), mirroring each other in encounters with a biomechanoid alien species..........I'm sorry my friend, but that is such a ridiculous, illogical supposition to make.......it goes beyond one's reasonable stretch of the imagination and would be, if it were true, INCREDIBLY INSULTING to the intelligence of 'Alien' fans the world over........ That one entry in the weylandindustires.com timeline, coupled with the notable absence of Charles Bishop Weyland, is a logical statement of intent to remove AVP from the alien franchise chronology....

I'm a businessman, I own two businesses. They have similar names and I do the same work under both. Legally they are two separate entities, with two different EIN's ( SSN for a business), similar to two separate persons. Also, did anybody see the Predator mask on the wall behind Guy Pearce in the recent iTunes featurette? He must've tracked down that mask in Antarctica after his daddy died and has it displayed in his collection. LOL (BTW, yes I realize that it's some other type of mask from an ancient civilization or something, looks very similar though, coincidence?)

and it still doesnt explain how that makes avp canon. So you can try to tie them in, but doesnt mean they tie in. So make me understand even if you have to write a giant post cause I dont see it. Where is the proof that Peter Weyland and Charles B. Weyland are related?

Also if Charles Bishop Weyland was in the Alien universe who's the guy in Alien3 with blood coming off his head after 85 wacks him? And why did the company suddenly decide to make a model of Bishop?

Weyland Industries has nothing to do with Weyland Corp. WI had interests in communications, robotics and archeology. WC has interests in AI, terraforming and space travel. Two separate companies. It happens all the time in the real world, why not in a fictional one. As I have said before, if they wanted to eliminate AVP as canon, then they should not have referenced weyland industries.

@ tutelo - If AVP is not canon then Peter Weyland should have been born after CB Weylands death, and the site should be called anything but www.weylandindustries.com. The only reason to use that name is to include AVP as canon. @ TFH - Bishop II is a synthetic sent to coerce Ripley into giving up the Queen Chestburster. watch how he reacts to the red blood.

As for Bishop II, seeing as how many David units there are. Wouldn't it then be logical that there are many Bishops as well, at least more Bishop units closer to where Ripley and the prisoners are as opposed to the actual man that they are designed after?

The progeny of two brilliant parents; His mother, an Oxford Educated Professor of Comparative Mythology, his father, a self-taught software Engineer"........why not mention Charles Bishop Weyland by name or his own company?...................this whole business is ridiculous to suggest such a seredipitous coicidental situation of two Weylands, both starting massively successful corporations, both involving themselves with the alien lifeforms in the same universe.....it's nonsense....

@ Craigamore - I ain't arguing just stating the facts... 1. Peter Weyland was born in 1990, a whole 14 years before the death of Charles Bishop Weyland. 2. CB Weyland is not mentioned because it is not his company, it is the company founded and ran by Peter Weyland. 3. Weyland Industries was never suggested to be successful, in fact very little info was given about it, all within AVP - a satelite, an envelope, a helicopter and CB Weyland on the cover of time magazine as a "Robotics Pioneer". Weyland Corp is much a bigger and bolder company than Weyland Industries ever was.

I mean that the engineers are the ones who are controlling the aliens, just like the predators, it is the same concept. Engineers want to kill other people with them but the Predators want to fight them instead, it is very similar war oriented purpose.
