MemberFacehuggerApr-29-2012 8:04 PMPrometheus: Shaw probably has the most dramatic arc and drastic character development
Alien: Ash is by far the most fascinating character, but Dallas is my favorite. He is the only one who willingly went into a very dangerous situation in order to save the crew. I think Ripley would have, but she never got the opportunity.
Aliens: Burke was played amazingly well by Paul Reiser, but Ripley is my favorite because she finally is able to confront the Aliens to save another life, and Hudson has all the best lines and steals every scene he's in.
Alien 3: Clemens is my favorite character. It was a shame to see him go out like that, but Dillon was inspiring.
Alien Resurrection: Jonner was awesome, but Christie was the most badass.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

MemberOvomorphApr-29-2012 8:06 PMFrom 'Alien'...I would have to say it's a toss up between Ash and Ripley
Ian Holm - Ash's ticks, his suppositions, the way he interacts with other crew members have such a natural quality of bizarre, withdrawn maladjustment and yet he still feels as oddly human as the rest of the crew.....truly fascinating he is to watch upon repeat viewing once you know what he is.
Sigourney Weaver - Her performance as Ripley is solid thrughout the saga..I have my reservations about 'AR', but that's beside the point. She is so powerful and effeminate at the same time with an unflinching adherence to what she believes is the right hing to do given any circumstance and has no problem voicing that opinion at all...the scene after Dallas' disappearance is truly a moment where her career was made for sure...

MemberOvomorphApr-29-2012 8:14 PM'Alien 3'...againa, a toss up between Clemens and Dillon
Charles Dance - The man behind Clemens portrays a beautifully scarred man who is pennetant and realistic about the life he made for himself.
Charles S. Dutton - Dillon is as honest and repentant a man as you'll find given the life he's led and that he so willfully holds up that standard in defense of Ripley and his fellow inmates is wonderful to behold...

MemberOvomorphApr-29-2012 8:35 PMMost Interesting character so far from Prometheus: Meredith Vickers, her personality is quite intriguing. She seems to have direct correlation between the Prometheus crew and Weyland Industries. I really like that chemistry. I think it makes her character very mysterious and your really not sure where her loyalties lye. Is she going to listen to the crew over the company or the company over the crew in the end.
Most Interesting character from Alien: I really like Parker. He's just a middle class crewman aboard all these smart scientists, and pilots along side Brett who I like as well. He really shows off the "normality" within the crew. You almost feel like your not watching a movie in Alien because everyone is so thoroughly looked at as just a person like you or I in Space a century or so in the future. I like that realism to the acting.
Most Interesting character from Aliens: Ellen Ripley man, in Aliens she becomes full throttle fury. She kicks ass and she keeps her head high against the Aliens in this film. I mean Ripley kicks some Alien butt. Who cant forget the "Get away from her you BITCH!!!", line and Ripley vs. the Queen on the Powerloader. Just epic.
Most Interesting character from Alien 3: Dillion for sure, in Alien 3 he is such a powerful character. A religious and inspirational leader, Leading the prisoners against the fight against the Alien and the Company. He picks Ripley up when she's falling down and he really becomes the core heat of the moment in many of the scenes within the film. He's had a rough past murdering and being a rapist of women but in Alien 3 he turns into a pure soul almost. Leaving the sin behind and willing to sacrifice his life and the rest of his men to defeat the Alien.
Most Interesting character from Alien Resurrection: Ripley 8, In Alien Resurrection she turns into something COMPLETELY different. The combination of Alien and Human dna inside her makes her one nasty epic bitch. I love it. She bonds with the humans of the Betty crew but has the ability to bond with the Aliens as well. So throughout the film your not sure if you can really trust her until the end when she sides with the crew from the Betty. She's darker and more mysterious. In Alien Resurrection Ripley becomes the Fear and the unknown. Thats what to me makes her character so God DAMN interesting.
Your favorite character is: Ellen Ripley hands down throughout all 4 films.

MemberOvomorphMay-05-2012 1:29 AMAlien: Dallas, without a doubt. The way the character is so flawed yet so much trying to do what HE thinks is the right thing (only to be wrong) just move me because he is so not Ripley. I think he is the only character that approaches a kind of pathetic tragedy. Although I would have loved to spend more time with the character, his premature death is one of Alien's great shocks.
And I must mention I love every character in this movie.
Aliens: Unlike Alien, Ripley dominates from the start. So everyone else kind of is in the shadow. But Hudson is one of the great buffoons that every movie of this type needs. Again, the survivors are all interesting in their way, though I don't connect with them as I did the with Nostromo crew.
Alien3: Clemens. The pathetic ones always get me.
Alien Resurrection: None of them. I really tried, but the characters, in the word of Peter Griffin, "insist" upon themselves too much.

MemberOvomorphMay-07-2012 12:54 AMAlien: Parker. He is the oddity of the group. The most interesting, the most down to earth, questioning everything but asking the right questions. You think he only cares about himself at the beginning but you realize quickly he cares about the rest of the crew, has a tender side that doesn't let show. Someone you can most relate to.
Aliens: Spunkmeyer. Only because of the name.
