Yeah, I watched this video last week and it annoyed me when they said the alien is dumb. :(

A dog would just run up to them and lick em to death lol........cant throw anything at it cos itll just bring it back and sit at your feet wagging its tail......actually a dog is a lot friendlier lol

The xenos certainly weren't dumb crawling the wall spaces to get at the humans in 'Aliens.' And in Alien 4, not only do we see penned up xenos having a virtual conversation (OK, an arguement) but they also exhibit a sort of dark humor by leaving weaponry like breadcrumbs for their human prey. Last but not least, the [i]Aliens[/i] 'negotiation' scene b/w Ripley & the Queen shoots any low IQ theory to hell. Seem scary smart to me.
