MemberOvomorphMay-20-2012 4:01 PMi know this has probably been talked about, but i still think it needs to be looked into much more closely.... after watching all the trailers i would say that after Fifield turns into the mutant guy, he turns into the blue guy, i only assume this because of some of the shots in the trailers, the most credible shots of all that point to this (i forget what trailers they are from) are the one of the blue guy standing over Shaw and the shot of Shaw screaming with the back of somethings head in the foreground, just by looking at the background and the fact that Shaw is wearing a space suit in both shots, i would say this is the same scene, and in the shot of it standing over her, just by looking at the body it is very clear that it is the blue guy, and in the other shot it is very clear that the head is burnt and textured much like the mutant guy, so assuming we just haven't had a really good shot of the head texture of the blue guy, they could very easily be the same thing. what do you think? also, if you think that this HAS been talked about enough then please send me the link before locking this thread, thank you :)

MemberOvomorphMay-20-2012 4:28 PMRead somewhere (am am quite sure it was off-site) that RS stated there is only one SJ survivor and he is in stasis until the crew's actions wake him. That would infer that the torched creatures were formally crew members,

MemberDeaconMay-20-2012 4:09 PMI would say that the reason said Big Guy looks burnt is that he may have been sprayed or come into contact with Acid from Cuddles, or Shaw has attacked him with something that leads to him being burnt...
i could post images to prove the point but they would be spoilers..
Just look in the Spoiler thread and you will see Engineer apears to have smooth Bluey Grey Head in all scenes inc on the Prometheus or what ever inc the scene when he is running through the passage pay leading to Vickers Corpirate Room and then we see the scene of him holding Shaw up against the Chandeliers by her throat...
Then if you look at the latest spoiler image, again he is the same.
Then we have the burnt face scene... surely this happens after the scene just above..

MemberDeaconMay-20-2012 4:24 PMHeight yes looks smaller, about 7.5ft tops.... but then again so does the same Blue Guy in all scenes when he is after Shaw and running on what apears to be the Prometheus...
In the Orrey room he does look to be at least 8.5ft tall so i dont know how they are going to explain that.

MemberOvomorphMay-21-2012 1:07 AMIt's an Engineer. Simple enough. Why does everyone have to make everything so complicated? I don't know what you guys are seeing, but the only bald blue/gray humanoids in the movie are the friggin' Engineers.

MemberOvomorphMay-21-2012 1:26 AMSorry, I think Fifield snuffs it before the Blue Guy appears. My guess is that Blue Guy is either Holloway or an honest-to-goodness Engineer (perhaps the last surviving Engineer). I don't see why Blue Guy's commanding 8.5' height would rule out Holloway, though: if the Engineers' advanced bio-tech can recombine and alter DNA to create mutants, as we've already seen, then size adjustments ought to be a piece of cake (as long as the subject consumes enough extra food/energy/matter, I suppose).
