As i am pretty sure we know or expect David to not survive, maybe only other theory would have been that he changes into something. But i was not one for David becomes Space Jockey or Xeno, i would have liked him to had sacreficed his life to save Shaw, and he may have attempted to do that, for all we know he may had confronted the Jockey giving Shaw enough time to escape back to Prometheus and warn the crew.

shit really is... Its one thing to think about what mite be but its another to see it! davids dead and every one will know about it soon enough, And the movie isnt even out yet big disappointment. really dose take alot away from the movie the mystery. after nearly a year of keeping things under wraps FOX & RS release this pish!! Surely to god RS knows there is FANBOYS out there analyzing trailers frame by frame ect..... really has pissed me off still cant wate to the film but this shits just gonna be in the back of my mind just wateing for it to happen!!

I would have mentioned "Major Spoiler Concerning Davids Outcome" or even mention Davids Death as i am sure we never expected him to become a Xeno or Space Jockey. Just the unknown/unspoiled would have helped as those who see this thread will know tha exact scene David dies and its right after the Chair is raised and maybe before the Jockey gets into it..... Or maybe he does not get into it, as we have him confront Shaw first we would assume. so i guess there is plenty left we dont know about. One problem is others will spot this thread or find the clue themselves and we can only imagine seeing plenty of other threads over next 24 hours on the subject and thus it would be hard to put a lid on it. RS probably intended that bit for us. They know we're scrutinizing every detail in slo mo and it annoys him and so he put that in there to ruin it for us. I guess he's right....if you come here...you're bound to get it. What I don't like about this is that it's not a scene that keeps us guessing or coming up with theories. It's a major plot give away - like the birth scene. Couldn't they just have let slip some general info in an ominous voice...like..."he's controling what we're thinking" or...."they weren't waiting for anyone to arrive, they wanted us to arrive specifically"

Thanks BigDave, as Silica said if this is from the official trailer or material that's out maybe we where ment to find it after all one of the guys who wrote this also wrote LOST for a living and that show would always drop some major clues on you if you'r the attentive sort of person who disects things like that.

why where we meant to find it? davids been key to the movie so far and in topics.. is he good or bad ect the viral trailer of davids birthday epic sucked us all in to the story then whammmmmmmmmm SPOILER hes dead!! epic FAIL and i don't think RS has intended for us to see that nor did he intend for us to see the ALIEN in the med pod that's why it was blurred out!! a lot of this movie has been given away. they say don't watch bootleg FILMS go to the cinema to see the FILMS well i mite have well as watched a bootleg FILM as i know pretty much all the story now and its not even out!!!!

What is David doing in the Orrey during an event that causes an Engineer to get knocked out of his chair? Is he sleeping with the enemy? Did he lose his head at the hands of an Engineer or possibly while being rammed by Janek as they head to earth? Do you think he was murdered, conspiritor or innocent bystander at the wrong place at the wrong time. Or maybe he died ( if this is indeed Davids head ) a hero trying to save us by stowing away and bum rushing the Engineers and got Jockey slapped.

It pretty much figures that David identifies where we're from ("earth") in the Orrery, and after he leaks that bit of info, the Engineer must strike him down or use it. Plus he probably wants his head for the data. Or maybe it's because the Engineer does not like the fact that as an android, David can operate the ship's controls. But, maybe he underestimates the possibility that there's a second android on board. But seriously, we don't know one major thing, and that is: WHY Why make those snakes in the big room, why go to earth...

Maybe it's Vickers' head.

It does seem rather coinky-dinky that one night we get an alleged call-sheet leak, and the next, apparent video confirmation.

I already saw the picture and discussion in the thread it was originally pointed out in, so it wasn't a spoiler to me. It's common freaking courtesy to put SPOILER ALERT in th thread title, and put the details INSIDE the thread. People are allowed to be members of this community and not want to know all the spoilers. Besides, it's not as easy to spot as you make it sound. I think Fox is stupid for putting that in the trailer too.

Very big difference between...oh I don't know... Showing the Prometheus crash from every angle ...and including a fraction of a second image bordering on the subliminal that contains faintly in the background a prone crew member. Jesus - hardly anyone on this site noticed it, so yes....it's a spoiler for 99.9% of people who wouldn't have otherwise noticed But anyway, it's probably gone viral by now and I'm betting RS is blowing a gasket this slipped through the net BigDave...I only noticed it on the previous thread when you said wonder if androids run around like headless chickens...not very subtle!

One: not everyone read it cuz not everyone wants spoilers. Two: how do you know it's minor? That is your opinion. Three: it's common courtesy since the dawn of forums not to put the actual spoiler in the name of the thread! So no, people did not have a choice. Joining this forum doesn't mean you have to know everything. That is why thre are threads to click on, and appropriate titles to those threads. I just find it weird people coming looking for information and when they get to much they scream foul. To me, this isn't even spoiler worthy. A full script is. A leak is. A full critic of the movie scene by scene is. A head on a floor? Big fucking deal. Without context it to me is a meaningless image and nothing more. I don't know why or how it is there. If I knew those, that would be a spoiler. I find spoilers weird. I saw empire strikes back after knowing that Vader was Lukes father. didn't ruin my enjoyment of the movie at all.

That really doesn't spoil much honestly... There are bigger fish to fry.

Yes, this forum is for information, but people still have a right to decide just how much information they want. It's also quite easy to follow the rules and have some descency.
