Is Giger really not involved in the creature design?

Tons of the overall art design are undoubtedly coming from Giger. My guess is that he was heavily consulted for some things..he would have had to have been given the lengths to which they are using his conceptual work for the first Alien. The strange mural with the Engineer and the creature thing (Jockey? Proto-Alien?) uses the exact same hieroglyphic language as the murals Giger did for the first Alien, which were never used. He probably didn't contribute to creature design for the new creatures (they got a new, very good artist for that), but you can't make a movie like this without Giger's hand being seen in almost every aspect of the extraterrestrial beings.

I really hope Giger was involved in designing new monsters, his original ideas about the creature for Alien 3 with the "tubes" that eviscerate people sound like the basis for this movies "skeletal protoforms". I still think the "star beast" will emerge from either Vickers (remember, she starred in Monster, so that could be a reference?) or force its way into the engineer/sj, contaminating it while it's in the chair so that the infection spreads down to the "urns" turning them into alien eggs? Giger's ideas are definitely lurking in this film, can't wait to see if this conceptually surpasses the original classic.

His participation was small. Contrary to what others here think and want. He designed a few murals and some materials are based on older designs that he worked on for the first movie. It plainly states in the credits, and has been confirmed by Scott in interviews that NONE of the creatures were designed by Giger other than the elements of the Space Jockey.

I think if any alien shows it's self in this movie, it will be based on pizzahut and bacon bitts, speculation purely!

Gigers agent told me himself that Mr Giger hasnt been approached by either FOX or Ridley.

Giger is the father of Bio-Mechanics. His influence dominates this film whether he directly participated or not, those are all of his designs.
