Ummmm.....that we're being fed red herrings seemingly spoiling the movie when in fact we're not, but in actuality we are, but in theory we're not.....I dunno?

Wow, how would that play out? Clearly in BR, "they" are replicants and are almost indistinguishable from humans. What year is BR supposed to be in?

@Forever war; Interesting to note that Fassbender modeled David after a Blade Runner replicant (specifically, Rachel) and not any previous Alien androids.

At the risk of heavy objects coming my way...I think David survives and is in Ridley's Blade runner sequel he has mentioned....from the replicant's POV instead of mainly Deckards

But Deckard is a replicant every clue is there to be seen the rest of the replicants have the red eye reflection including the owl and all the other artificial lifeforms and Deckard. The pictures he looks at moves of its own accord and he knows the details of Rachel's memories including the unicorn reference . Yep Deckard was a replicant at least that's what i get from the film. The unicorn gives the game away, Gaff knows he's a replicant to, Gaff knows his implanted dreams.

Actually my theory even better. It fits to Star Wars theme. Look at alien human tech and spaceship it match with star destoryers and more. They are speaking quite the same language. That man in robe walking near water fall is emperor Palpatine. :)

I think the point of this forum is to host the unlimited imagination of us fans, so that they can be kept at bay rather than having them around causing potential damage (some ideas turned into movie could lead to results that would make look the AvP movies deserving not just Academy Awards, but also Nobel Prizes in all disciplines). The nuttiest theories I've seen here are all the cross-universe plots, some made just for fun (I love those, I've proposed a few myself, too), some very seriously (Predator? Oh, come on!). Or the ones leading to Star-Wars-esque, Superhero-esque and Ushbuck-esque endings and sequels.

I Still think that Jar Jar Binks is critical to the plot somehow.....

The wacky one for me was the one that says the derelict lays the eggs and xenos eventually grow up to become spaceships

Ridley kinda did hint to a connection to Blade Runner... The only thing i can think of is the Replicants, they are move advanced and real looking than Weylands Andriods... Maybe Weylands aim is that by combining the Engineers Secret with his Andriod Creation he can create a lifeform that is more closer to Human than his Synthetics are. Maybe a sequel will see them gain some of that knowledge (Fire) and thus able to advance the Andriods so as they are no longer as such but a new creation thats more closer to a actual Human... thus yes that would be like Blade Runner but not a actualy canon movie to Blade Runner. Maybe the only connection could be a failed attempt to change a Andriod into a more human aka Replicant life form... SPOILER ............ SPOILER (Well potential just a idea). -- -- -- -- I think that attempt is by Weyland, but it may fail or does it? there are many hints to Weyland being on board, and a combination of what special effects personel in interviews said, the fact why cast Guy Pierce for just a cameo, the clues such as Vickers Room etc the . Synapse Reestablisher and the Prometheus steeling Fire, and hint of more than one Andriod, leads to conclude that their is a 2nd Andriod in the movie only it is to be a Host for Weyland, using this Andriod Body, plus Engineers Fire will create hopefully a more Replicant lifeform and then use the Synapse Reestablisher to transfer Weylands Memories and thus Soul into this new creation. Giving Weyland a kind of Eternal Life...? Thats my hunch but again i could be wrong..... Maybe Ridley is playing games, he says this movie is how Mommy meets Daddy which we think means Shaws Baby this could be red herring, which i then thought so as he hinted about the Derelict landing on LV426 and its maybe milions or years old. Now my theory prior to him comming out with that, was the Xeno was created years prior and is what nearly wiped out all the Jockeys.... then why did they get Giger to give some idea of the Xeno Evolution in reverse i.e what would have been the orgins. So maybe Ridley is throwing us all off..... and maybe (but i doubt) he is actually going to go with Weyland using the above method to make him importal like a Replicant/Andriod hybrid and instead it changes him into the Proto Xeno..... To me thats a fantasic idea and plot... but one that does not make sence with some of the clues in the movie...... or are they red herrings? Remeber how many people actually understood and could guess what was going on in Lost? If you missed some then you did get Lost. - - - - - - - END SPOILER ........... END SPOILER

I couldn't possibly be insulted about my film plot when at times I know myself well enough to know when I'm full of crap. I do a lot of joking here on the site and some serious analysis as well...I can easily understand misconceptions lumping me full time into the unrepentantly goofy column. I just see that at this point in time, before release, that anything is possible. I go on my knowledge of Ridley outside the film as much as the media released so far about the film
