What's up with Shaw

Appears Shaw may birth some type of alien in several scenes from the trailer. Also - in one scene, perhaps at the end of the movie after Shaw has been rescued by "the Company" we see her laying down in a room, then attack someone in protective gear. Has she become part alien with super human strength? Does this perhaps lead to the Company's continued interest in obtaining the alien DNA?
