Here's Alien Resurrection's aternate ending showing a possible vision for humanity's future. What ya think? Personally - a bit too much of a downer for me and glad they didn't use. The used ending offers the possiblity of hope.... Anyone know the director's reasoning?

yes I do...he states it at the beginning of the clip on the Quadrilogy DVD, they asked him to...they wanted more money...as usually so they asked him to produce that ending and a new beginning and call it a Directors cut which he explains it isn't but rather "cow tow-ing" to the studios wishes!!!

Only have the first films on dvd, so thanks. Will definately need to check other missed interviews/commentary, etc.

no worries I thought you might want the answer to that and I hope you saw the alternate opening because for me that is the best opening from all 6 franchise RELATED films!!

I find it a bit disturbing that Joss Whedon had something to do with that garbage. He's grown up thankfully.

I actually prefer the alternate ending, finishes the film with a question - what the hell happened to Paris?

The alternate opening makes me think of very poor CGI.

Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born. Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.
