Wow! Earlier had placed a thread about what Earth in the Alien franchise was like. Here's Alien Resurrection's aternate ending showing a possible vision for humanity's future.
What ya think? Personally - a bit too much of a downer for me and glad they didn't use. The used ending offers the possiblity of hope....
Anyone know the director's reasoning?

MemberOvomorphMay-23-2012 10:46 PMyes I do...he states it at the beginning of the clip on the Quadrilogy DVD, they asked him to...they wanted more money...as usually so they asked him to produce that ending and a new beginning and call it a Directors cut which he explains it isn't but rather "cow tow-ing" to the studios wishes!!!

MemberOvomorphMay-24-2012 12:47 AMI find it a bit disturbing that Joss Whedon had something to do with that garbage. He's grown up thankfully.

MemberTrilobiteMay-24-2012 3:46 AMI actually prefer the alternate ending, finishes the film with a question - what the hell happened to Paris?

MemberOvomorphMay-24-2012 5:05 AMThe alternate opening makes me think of very poor CGI.
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.
