Yeah, you should probably just have posted this on the status board...

i tried to stay out of this expecting it to go away, but any who..... to be nice id say the best place to put this note now is in your personal profile. it would be convenient for anyone that private messaged you and wondered why you didnt reply, they can just check your profile tab and see that you arent logging on for a predetermined amount of time.

I imagine we are going to see more of this. Maybe create a new forum section called "Goodbyes"? A goodbye post from big contributors to this forum, from famous and or beloved members would get some goodbyes in return, but in the remaining 99% of the cases it would just be some kind of narcissistic (and pretty pointless) complaint about one's fear of spoilers, and the most likely responses would be "so what?" and "remember to shut the door behind you", because the topic per se is uninformative and pretty much spam.

i second your idea *pounds gavel*. i personally didnt want to come on here after the U.K. release to avoid spoilers but i wasnt going to make a new thread, i was going to put a note in my profile and give a small heads up on the status board. i didnt want anyone to think i was ignoring their PMs. i think a new section or even a big common thread is a good idea for these "goodbyes". especially since many of us are coming back after we get to see the movie so it isnt a final farewell or anything.
