Space Jockey trunk disconnecting from the pilot's chair

There's a slightly different version of today's the featurette here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPQ6YnB3uik&feature=youtu.be At 1.25 you see a new picture of the SJ in the pilot's chair but the room is all lit up like the star map so it's different from the previous pictures. Anyway, if you go through that section frame by frame, you can clearly see the SJ's trunk retracting up from the chair back in to the helmet/face. It's pretty cool and shows a bit more about the SJ's suit.

Watching it again you can see tubes disconnecting from the back of the helmet too. Looks really organic and biomechanical.

Rather than retracting, it seems that one section of the trunk simply disappears. Post-production work in progress.

Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born. Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

what's trippy, [sorry for going off topic] , was the clip of shaw and holloway crouching in the tunnel watching the hologram of the figure go running past them.

Good Catch indeed interesting.... Looks like if its the same scene then they have added some more after effects. Maybe they held off some of the added details untill they got the Rating of the movie.

If the whole SJ suit and trunk and all that is part of the chair and envelops the user, then what's with the hologram SJ's running down the hallway fully suited up, trunks and all?

I know this reply is much later, but I just realized something when rewatching the trailer (US Trailer 2). We can very clearly see that the space jockey has a human-like head, and that the trunk, et al, is a helmet or part of the chair. Look at this screen shot from this very site (taken from trailer 2): http://www.prometheus-movie.com/gallery/view/img/170 The space jockey is on the right side, walking toward the chair. There also seem to be some scale discrepancies compared with Alien (space jockey size compared to humans, and the chair itself), but maybe that is somehow explained/fixed in the movie.
