This film will consist of a series of still images projected rapidly in sequence to produce the illusion of motion.
Please discuss.

Ridley was highly motivated/inspired by the Texas Chainsaw Massacre at the time that he made Alien. When I first saw it in 1979, people got up and walked out. I think he really wants to push people beyond the limits of what they can stand. The worm in Holloway's eye is one of the worst things I've ever seen (and though I have not listened to the 'disturbing' audio) I'm SURE it will disturb me when I hear it in the theater. I think he wants members of this 21st century audience who can't take it to get up and walk out too, without relying on nothing but buckets of blood and torture. That will make him INFAMOUS as a director. And it will generate enough box office (thank you young male demographic) for him to pay for building the Engineers' home world (in LA) in the next film. ;•)

Yes, definitely Holloways scene or regarding your infection and transformation may be quite sick IMHO. And most likely be as bad as the "Thing with Tentacles" Shaw carries in her womb. And certainly the audio is very disturbing to.

I hope it scares me. A movie hasn't scared me since 1973 when I saw The Exorcist at age 17. I've been creeped out by a few, grossed out by a few but not scared. Not even by Alien, which I love(d). Guess I'm jaded.
Scare me Ridley. I dare you!

I want to leave the theatre forever scared of the dark and worried for my life everytime I go through a cave or room with only one exit.

Maybe it's about the ASSHUGGER!!! Feel the fear!
@Shambhala: That sounds like a new pair of jeans! Actually describes that style I hate where the pants look like they're falling off your butt...
(sung to the tune of Spiderman)
Pussysnakes, Pussysnakes,
I can say it 'cos I'm a girl
shake my booty in yo' face
Pussysnakes, pussysnakes...
Boy, that was bratty.

@Newtella LOL is just a joke and you're a girl? Well that sounds great to me and in fact this type of forums not tend to attract many women (usually just a bunch of geeks and nerds and a pair of lovers of the seventh art)
My best regards

@Shambhala: That animated gif would make a great avatar... Peekaboo!
Somewhere in space, some gal is going, "So that's where I left it!"

This movie will scare the crap out of you because when your in the theatre and the movie finishes, a rubber cobra hugger will automatically pop out from under each seat between your legs.

@Newtella I really like your avatar and this animated gif is "The Cobra-Hugger" the new pet of the Prometheus-movie community

I admit to being cowardly enough to wait awhile after Prometheus comes out. If too many people walk out of the theater looking like they've been psychically violated, I'll probably be too scared to see it.
May 10, 2012
@Newtella I really doubt (and do not want) that Prometheus is heading that way, IMO a horror movie does not need to have perversions or rape.
