different suits...

@RabidChinchilla, Maybe, but I really don´t think this is a promo image. They´re the same crew that we already know enters the temple, and the picture displays that they are even carrying the bags we can see in other pictures...

That's betterer :-D I dunno, I'm starting to think maybe these things are kinda like nano-suits, adapting to the environmental conditions? But that would mean that the other suits would be doing the same thing.........................

On the Weyland website under Security there is a "suit" blurb about there being 2 types. The orange trimmed suits could be the armored model: [b]ADVANCED SE SUITS Used in exploration, reconnaissance and for tactical maneuverability in the field. Nano-reinforced composite helmet allows a 320° rotational field of vision with info display of vital stats, environmental conditions, communications systems and data analysis. Cadmium exoskeleton provides safety and stability over rough terrain. Iridium-coated, laser resistant light armor optional.[/b] There is also a power loader in the Security section, maybe we will see it again?

I think you maybe half right about the armour in the suits but if it was me Id put the armour in the plain suit if you need armour then some one might be shooting at you bright orange lines would make a good target !

I opt to stay out of 'wicked holes'. But if one [i]has[/i] to, protection is a MUST!

The red lines on her suit represent a virgin, a virgin of sacrifice to the new encountered life forms.

@centrosphere If you can notice details and differences in suit types, you are spending entirely too much time watching the trailers.

@Vader, Actually it only took a moment looking at the photos...

That first image looks more like a promotional image than something from the film. For one thing, when the team enters the temple, everyone has their skull caps on. From the trailers we’ve seen so far, Shaw is wearing the standard suit everyone else has on (larger chest plate, no red/orange pipng). The suits with the red/orange piping can be seen from the Verizon images released earlier. They are all hanging in the escape pod areas. Basically, these are the escape suits that crew members put on quickly during evacuation. That’s what Vickers puts on when she races to escape the ship. Shaw has one on as well, later in the film.

It just doesn't look like something from the film. You wouldn't line up everyone so tight. Plus the lack of the skull caps gives it an odd position from all the trailers we've seen. The featurettes and trailers show the crew exiting the large rover as it stops at the temple. Shaw is wearing the standard blue suit with the large chest plate. Inside the big head room, Shaw is also in the standard blue suit. There are two trips back to the Prometheus from the temple that feature the same thing. One has the storm barreling down on them. Shaw is riding the back of one of the mini vehicles. Then is blown away by the storm. She has her skull cap and large chest plate on. Another trip back has Shaw and Ford holding Holloway up as he screams. They all have the standard suit on with skull caps. Also, at 1:20 of the featurette on comingsoon.net, you can actually see the photographer lining the crew up for this promotional shot (bags and all). Well, we will know for sure in a few more weeks.
