Is David's hairstyle a tad camp?

@Mafetu And did you know that Ripley and Lambert (with that haircut) had a thing going at one point? I'm not sure if they every filmed it properly or not, but there is at least some of the prototype for the scene shown in the documentary on the Anthology Blu-Ray. It was Ridley's idea, apparently.

Sukkal, I think I can recall what it is you're referring to. I think David, if he were real, would probably describe our views on life, sexuality and indeed haircuts as "Quaint".

TBH I think it's more a representation of how some styles are timeless. Every so often a fashion goes out of style, but then it comes back in again several years later - it's cyclical. I don't think it's based on a Hitler youth cut when RS has stated that he drew inspiration from T.E. Lawrence.

So funny that someone posted about this, because a thought occurred to me yesterday and I was going to post on it: Has anyone considered the possibility that David's seriously Aryan appearance could be a sort of underhanded, casual nod to the "Master Race" concept espoused by regimes like the Nazis and others? What made me think of it was the short clip of him walking into the chamber declaring "A superior species, no doubt." (I know he wasn't referring to himself, but I get the impression from watching some of the clips that David considers himself superior to humans in some way). Between that and the blonde hair/blue eyed styling (although his look more grey), it reminded me of the way Hitler and his cronies elevated "Aryanism" to the level of a cult. Perhaps Weyland had something similar in mind.

@Shilliam Watner you seem a little "Proud" positing that picture which reflects perhaps the [b]DARKEST[/b] era in mankind's history !!! Hope I'm mistaken in that assumption.

Just so we're clear most of my relatives perished trying to escape from the Nazis.I mean no offense just want a clarification of why you seem so proud of that picture and why positing it seems appropriate to you, and given so many people took offense to my post about religion dividing us all?
