MemberOvomorphMay-14-2012 12:28 AMSomewhat of a simplistic question, and I have my on ideas, but after Ripley comes out of cryosleep in Aliens, why doesn't she tell the world about what happened to her aboard the Nostromo? Also, wouldn't she be somewhat of a celebrity? I can't imagine many people who lived after being in cryo for 50+ years.
My ideas:
1) If Ripley were to/did speak to the media, the Company obviously waas powerful enough to control any story released;
2) The Company painted Ripley as mentally unstable, so no one would believe her;
3) After hearing that there were colonists on the alien planet and no one had encountered any alien in all this time, perhaps she herself felt that maybe she was wrong/crazy and hesitant to speak out.
Thoughts?

MemberOvomorphMay-14-2012 10:06 AMRipley Was stuck on a space station. How would she tell the world without being back on earth. The company was not going to let her go back to earth at that point.

MemberOvomorphMay-14-2012 2:22 PMthe company put her under complete stress with making her responsible for blowing up their ship plus cargo. Then they painted Ripley as mentally unstable, right.
She lost her as officer licence and was forced to work at the docks.
Thats a pretty bad position to come to media with alien stories.
