And based on how certainly and immediately she acts on this, I lean to assume that Vickers has more of an idea of just how dangerous holloway might be than the rest of them do. someone has been to the planet before, and vickers, and perhaps David, knows what they are dealing with.

As i said yesterday, maybe Weyland already had access to SJ technology, and therefore had foreknowledge of what to expect on this mission.

In some of my first posts I thought someone MUST have either been on that planet before, encountered some of the things that's luking there, or got DATA back to Earth somehow ... @Snorke ... Yes ... Vickers seems to know a lot ... now that could've come from Weyland ... but she's ON THE CASE, so to speak, that's a definite ...

@gameover Yes i agree i came to same cunclusion after seeing that vickers torching someone image.... Then i released that Fifeld mutants Glass is Broken and his suit does not look Chared as bad as the guy heading upto that Mechanic...

what I get from this clip is Ridley is saying to us; no matter what, bad things are going to happen in Alien they let the infected crew member come on board (Kane) and then $hit hits the fan in Prometheus things go wrong even though someone is stopping the "infection" but it still finds a way it is like he is saying this circumstance in inevitable and there is no way to escape it i hope that is coherent enough, havn't had any caffeine yet : )

thats a good point @saints...im one of those people who watch a movie over and over (a good one anyways) and find myself thinking, "if they just get this part right, everything would be ok," as if it wasnt a scripted movie, and the character had a choice in the matter. thats one of those times. i think, if ash doesnt have a way to override the airlock, does any of this happen, and i also always wonder, why didnt they just freeze Kane? why wouldnt dallas want to freeze him? why wouldnt ash want to freeze him? keep the organism in tact, mission complete, unless he thought freezing it might kill it... but thats a discussion for the alien board. i do like a character that actually acts the way you're screaming for someone to on the inside. just play it safe, dont take any chances, burn 'em.

REALISM ... that's all I'm asking for ... I'd like to think Ridley's pretty good at that ... he seems to go for the "what would you (the viewer) really do" scenario ... I'm sure as hell would torch any f*cker that came within 20ft of me that didn't look right lol ... that's realism ...

@gameover thumbs up! I know a lot of people are leaning towards Shaw and David being a favorite character but seeing Vickers just say get off my ship and then torch somebody puts her as my favorite character that's a hard decision to make and she doesn't even bat an eye in taking action

Remember way back when that picture (very poor quality mind you) of Vickers came out and many were saying, "she's torching a Xeno"? Just makes me chuckle a little.

....she's not torching Holloway...cause then she might as well torch everyone cause he still looks fine....i think she lets him in and then torches the mohawk guy....cause he certainly does'nt look fine!......

@Juxtapose...that is clearly holloway getting torched. arms out to the side, walking right at vickers. and he doesnt look good at all. see the newest "origins" featurette for a look at him turning grey and veiny. that shot of him walking up, probably saying "im coming on board, your gonna have to torch me", calling her bluff, and shaw being held down by someone else, is the perfect scenario for him to get fried. its going to be a sad scene, cause shaw is not going to like watching her love burn alive right in front of her.... imagine that for a moment.

my question...where is David during all of this. he should be involved in one way or another, he's a tool of the ship.

@ gameover man... ...might be Holloway I guess...anythings possible....but is that Holloway approaching?......i cannot make out facial detail at the distance...it always looked more like a female character.....but it's difficult to tell with the suits....maybe it's ford?.....as for David ....he's probably in the background somewhere?....busy getting of the vehicle...
