Intrigued. Its been discussed a lot. I rekon its the cause of all the probs. Somesort of dna changeing biotech.i rekon its more dangerous than the xenos cause there prob is no defence against it.scary stuff that mutates the crew.

Oringally yes i thought it was some kind of Organism, maybe 4 like sacks that each contained something simular to the Cobra or Leech/Tadpole Organism. Its still not 100% what they contain, it does look like black substance but that substance could be microscopic Organism..... like a Black Sperm if you would.

Intrigued, very much. I would have been disapointed if it turned out to be a facehugger. Any other "organism" and I would have been happy, I don't want to see too much xenomorph action in this, and we still don't know what it is as BigDave said.

I do tend to agree that they contain some kind of catalytic DNA altering material/sperm. I'm interested to understand exactly what the delivery mechanism is for this agent. Also is it clear that the ship "does not" contain eggs? We know the structure known as "the temple" seems to hold the ampules. Are we sure that the ship does not contain the eggs as we saw in ALIEN? M

Intrigued, most definitely. Not only as a result of what we've seen very recently, but mainly intrigued as to when this scene plays out in the context of the complete movie. SJacko

These things David extracts from the urn are proper ampules, so it is very likely that the reference to ampules has always been to these objects rather than the canopic jars that contain them. What amazes me most is that Engineers use ampules (snap neck to open)! That's one serious piece of technology they gave us!

Honestly I must say that I liked...In fact, these ampules/whatever are frozen and perhaps before that had a more organic and viscous. Also I prefer to see something different rather than something we all know very well. I want to see a new movie with new monsters, new technologies and new scenarios and new end also. Just my opinion...

I'm warming to the ampules.... I still hope we see some good linkage to ALIEN....I expect I'm hoping too much to see "eggs" or some linkage to them. As for new monsters, I would be more than happy to see SJs. Please, please, please go and look at a still pic of the SJ in the original Alien and look at where the top of the head is in relation to the back of the chair, and how long the arms are. Then look at the pic of the SJ in the chair in Prometheus..... He's at most two thirds of the size..... Must be a man in a suit.... M
